It looks like the politicians are enjoying more holidays than even Kindergarten students. 8 minutes after the Lok Sabha resumed (at 12:00 noon), Speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned Lok Sabha to meet on 27th March 2018, at 11:00 am in the morning.

What’s surprising is that she found ‘peace’ to announce that, Monday is declared as a holiday. ‘On account of Sri Rama Navami on March 25th, many members requested me that, they need to attend many programs and functions on that day. So they have requested me to declare March 26th as a holiday, and I am accepting it. The house will meet again on March 27th, Tuesday’.

In Rajya Sabha, Vice-President (and Speaker of RS) Venkaiah Naidu made repeated attempts to put the house in order. He requested the MPs to go back to their places, and take their seats multiple times. There was a time, when he lost his cool, and expressed his frustration.

But the MPs turned a deaf ear to Venkaiah Naidu. With opposition parties intensifying their protests and disrupting the house, he has adjourned Rajya Sabha to Monday.If a young student watches the live proceedings of Indian Parliament, they would surely spit on the behaviour of MPs.

Just before a day, he got 1400 crores for completing Polavaram from the Centre.

In Assembly, he once again thrashed his longtime rival YSRCP, apparent rivals BJP and Janasena by claiming he is the most committed Politician. CBN asked other parties to stop targeting him and work towards developing AP.

UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) stated that it would take 1300 crore years to crack into Aadhar Servers and steal sensitive information, in its document submitted to the Supreme Court of India.

UIDAI CEO Ajay Bhushan Pandey explained about the security measures taken to protect the Aadhar data in his 80-min PowerPoint presentation. In his presentation, he made some key announcements.

  • 100% verification may not be possible with Aadhar
  • In case of biometric failure, the individual can still verify his Aadhar Card using OTP. We are making sure that the government schemes are reaching everyone.
  • We are also coming up with a separate data, whose biometrics are yet to be approved
  • Engineers are working to implement ‘Facial Recognition’ from July 1st as an added layer verification of Aadhar.
  • Aadhar has already proved very useful in finding duplicate Pan Cards and fake companies. It also ensured that government schemes are availed only by the eligible.

People moving closely with Andhra Politics in the last three decades know the prominence of August 26, 1995. Then Chief Minister Shri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao saw his own MLAs rebelling against him, and taking the side of current Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The whole episode began in the Dolphin Hotel in Vishakhapatnam and concluded at the Viceroy Hotel (Marriott, as of date) opposite to the Secretariat.

Nara Chandrababu Naidu managed to conglomerate the support of 150 MLAs and ensured that the legendary actor-cum-politician is ousted from the post of AP CM and TDP President, once and for all.Though, this history damps our eyes slightly, the recent developments in the state hint another ‘Viceroy Episode’ very soon. It is evident that Chandrababu is trying to battle with the anti-TDP wave in the public. At the same time, given TDP’s strained relations with BJP, his ‘Vote-for-Note’ case will be surely opened as the election time nears.

Irrespective of whatever is happening in the house, the TDP MPs, in particular, want to Speaker to pass the no-confidence motion. Even the YSRCP MPs are trying their level best to ensure the no-confidence motion is moved.

With TDP MPs protests reaching a new high, the BJP-led NDA government is having a nightmare. It has become almost impossible for Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to run the Lok Sabha beyond two minutes. The YSRCP MPs are playing second fiddle to TDP MPs in the Lok Sabha. At the same time, TRS MPs and AIDMK MPs are having their own demands. With an attack from all sides, the Centre completely has no clue whatsoever.

Adding to this, another state came forward with ‘Special Category Status’ demand, along with Andhra Pradesh. The state is none other than Bihar. Jan Adhikar Party MP Pappu Yadav demanded SCS for Bihar. In this context, he has also sent a notice to the Lok Sabha Secretary General asking for a debate. Prior to this, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar also spoke about the Special Category Status for Bihar in the parliament two days ago.

‘I raised this issue 13 years back itself. In 2005, I wrote a letter to the Prime Minister asking to grant Special Category Status to Bihar. Post that, we passed the Special Category Status bill in Bihar Assembly, and since then I have been fighting the same’, said Nitish Kumar in the Parliament.It looks like BJP’s end is coming closer.

Minster for Electronics, and Information Technology, Ravi Shankar Prasad warned Facebook founder, CEO Mark Zuckerberg over the recent Facebook Data Scandal. Addressing a special press gathering, Ravi Shankar Prasad said, ‘We will not spare any attempts to influence Indian Election System. Be it Facebook, or any other social networking platform.

If required we will take strict actions against those who attempt such unethical, and illegal practices. At the same time, the government is also is support of freedom of the press’, and freedom of expression in the country.

Currently, more than 200 million Indians are using Facebook. After the US, India is the largest market for Facebook. We welcome Facebook in India. But, if it comes to the notice of IT department that, data of Indian users are being harvested illegally, and is used to influence the Indian Election System, they will have to face dire consequences’.

Under the IT law, we can issue notices to anyone in the world making them come down to India. They will be strictly prosecuted, added Ravi Shankar Prasad.The Minister’s comments come after the ‘Cambridge Analytica’ data scandal came to light.

The fight of AP Politicians over the Central Government has got an apparent fruit finally. The Union Government finally bends down to fulfill just one promise among many to the state of AP.

Chandrababu Naidu sent multiple request letters to the Central Government to sanction 1700 crores to aid the Polavaram Project earlier. Centre which claimed that it is not liable to the increased rates in Tenders declared that it won’t aid AP Government regarding Polavaram. But with the Popularity CBN is gaining from all the anti-BJP groups, the Modi Batch has decided to calm down the protesters by sanctioning this fund. The Union Finance Ministry has transferred the fund sanctioning notice to AP Government and to the Water Resource Ministry stating that it is giving 1400 crores to Polavaram. It also asked the AP Government to submit the final audit of Polavaram to grant the remaining 300 crores in the future.

None other than the CM Chandrababu Naidu has shared this news of the day in AP Assembly this morning which left his cadre in joy. Not stopping there, he indirectly targeted his haters Jagan and Pawan Kalyan by saying that all those who criticise his commitment for the state would end up burning themselves. Well, this is said to the first achievement of AP state in its protest where there is still a mountain of grants to be achieved in the upcoming days.

All is well with the newest party of the AP Janasena until recent times. Its Chief Pawan Kalyan’s latest acts are not helping him but fetching him unwanted doubts and controversies among his common people.

Pawan Kalyan has declared himself as a fan of Indian PM Narendra Modi right from the day of Janasena formation. Since then, whenever he needed to question the Central Government, he used to slam entire BJP and particular Ministers like Arun Jaitley and others but never utters the name of Modi. This is irking the people of AP who are treating Modi like a villain to the state. Even in his recent speech, he failed to say anything anti to Modi. Recently he gave an interview to a leading National media channel where he felt criticising Modi will not yield any results as he thinks the AP politicians has to be blamed for the state’s worse situation.

His statements only adding more authenticity to the speculations regarding his alliance with BJP in the next elections. Also, the allegations of TDP on Pawan stating that he is acting as per the direction of some BJP biggies are going to be believed as true by some innocent common people thereby losing votes and trust on him. If he continues to indirectly support BJP, forget about getting seats in Assembly but he might lose his present fans and followers.
