RBL has set up an all-women branch today in Chennai. This bank happens to be a private sector bank. The branch of R. A. Puram in Chennai would be managed by eight women. This branch would be offering all products and services across liability and assets, announced the bank.

At least three people are dead after a helicopter and an aircraft collided in mid-air on Friday in Buckinghamshire, UK. There was wreckage seen near Waddesdon Manor from both the aircraft.
It is understood that both the aircraft had come from the airfield near High Wycombe, a Wycombe Air Park Spokesperson reported. Meanwhile, the South Central Ambulance Service said, they have sent a number of resources to the scene, which includes, two ambulance crews, Thames Valley air ambulance, two ambulance officers and a rapid response vehicle.
Before the Waddesdon plane crash, it seemed like the air traffic control was closed due to staff shortages, stated a local newspaper.
The fire brigade was arranged for the rescue work, and at least thirty fire servicemen were on the ground with the police, ambulance, and the Air Accidents Investigation Branch.
Reports coming in say the helicopter is a part of the fleet which belongs to Heli Air and was carrying two people. They also confirm that both the aircrafts had no connection with either the air force or the military and they are still waiting for more information from the base where the collision happened. RAF Halton, which is one of the largest Royal Air Force stations in the UK.
No official confirmation, yet on the death toll, but the Thames Valley Police suspects many casualties.

More than 73.2 crores of Indians still excrete in unsafe or open areas and sometimes use most unhygienic toilets, post the Swachh Bharat launch. It is been three years since the clean India mission came into life.
According to the State of the World’s Toilets 2017’ which is reported by WaterAid, that works on issues relating to sanitation and water, expressed more concern in regard to the situation faced by women. The report says, more than 35.5 crore women and girls are still waiting for a toilet, if they were all to stand in a queue, it would stretch around the earth more than four times.
In the ‘Basic Sanitation Drive’ globally, India is one among the top 10 countries. But still, more than half the population (56%) are still deprived of toilets and basic sanitation according to the latest report.
On 2 October 2014, Swachh Bharat was launched. More than 5.2 crores household’s toilets were built between October 2014 and November 2017.
According to World Health Organization (WHO), two in five health centers lack basic sanitation thus putting patients and health workers at high risk of infection. India is a big country and it is a huge challenge to reach 1.28 billion people with basic services. But hopefully, we get to see our country free of open defecation by 2019 according to claims made by Indian Government.

The Geological survey department is carrying our wide-spread soil tests so that we can assist the farmer about which crop is more suitable to the soil, climate, and environment of that place. We consider this summit as a ‘first step’ in the developing of Agriculture Industry in Andhra Pradesh and India.’
Both the eminent personalities have agreed upon to worth in tandem for the development of agriculture and farmers. This means that the Andhra Pradesh State Government will be working with the Melinda-Gates Foundation on various fronts.

Our ultimate aim should be to ‘increase the revenue of each and every farmer in this state and country’.

International rating firm Moody upgraded India’s credit rating to Baa2. This is the first time since 2004 that Moody upgraded India’s credit rating. The credit rating represents the worth of Government Bonds and Corporate Bonds on a nation.
The given rating indicates that the nation has enough capacity to meet its financial commitments and requirements. On the same lines, it also raises that the country might fail to meet its financial commitments given adverse economic and political conditions.

Bill Gates who is on a visit to India to take part in the ‘Agri Convention’ in Vishakhapatnam on November 17th, shared his opinions on Swachh Bharat, Education System in India and the Aadhaar Card.
Talking to a media house, Bill Gates stated that, ‘Melinda foundation can’t do everything. And most of the Indian philanthropists have picked up education as a high priority,’ when asked about whether Melinda Foundation would work to improve the education system in India.
Bill Gates said that he is highly disappointed with the current education system in India, and is not having any high expectations about it. While asked his take on the Swachh Bharat campaign and building of toiles, ‘Building a toilet is like opening a savings bank account. The real challenge lies in getting people to use it,’ said Gates.
The tech giant marked ‘Aadhaar Card’ as a 12-digit-lie-detector system and pointed that the apps built around it can have some serious security flaws.
Bill Gates has called for re-invented toilets which would burn the wastes without carrying it through the drainage system. Speaking on his recent investment, Gates said, ‘I drank a glass of processed water. The processing machine coverts human excreta into potable water.’

A 500-year-old painting believed to be painted by Leonardo da Vinci has been sold for Rs. 2,920 crores (or $450.3 Million). The painting was sold in an auction hosted by ‘Christie’s Auctions and Private Sales’ in New York. The painting depicts Jesus Christ, and is titled ‘Savior of the World’ or ‘Salvator Mundi’
The highest for a painting prior to ‘Savior of the World’ was paid for Picasso’s ‘The Women of Algiers’ during an auction held in New York in 2015.
This painting is thought to be one of the 20 paintings generally accepted that were drawn by the Leonardo himself. ‘Savior of the World’ painting surfaced in 2005. It is informed that the painting was sold for 45 British pounds in 1958.
Christie’s Auction officials stated that this 1500-year-old painting was sold after a 19-minute frantic bidding session. ‘The bids came from all over the world,’ said the auction company.
This painting was put on auction by a Russian seller who has purchased the artwork in 2013 from an art dealer in Monaco for $127.5 Million. At that time, the Russian seller has accused the art dealer of overcharging him.
The interest in this painting was such, nearly 30,000 people flocked to see the painting at the Christie’s showrooms in Hong Kong. Christie’s valued the painting’s pre-sale as $100 Million.

In the latest incident, reports claim a major explosion outside a restaurant in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on Thursday afternoon killing two people and injuring more than 8, as per local media reports.
The explosion happened in Lab- e- Jar square in Kabul’s PD4 area, where Jamiat –e – Islami Party members had gathered that included Zia Massoud, former advisor to President Ashraf Ghani.
According to the local news report, three cars were destroyed, forcing security to cordon off the area. In recent weeks we all are noticing an increase in terror attacks not only in Afghanistan but also round the globe. This is a major concerning factor.
The attacks are constant over the months that forced NATO, to boost its training mission in Afghanistan by 3000 more troops thus increasing the number from 13000 to 16000.

Right- wing organization Hindu Mahasabha has waged a controversy in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior city, by setting upNathuram Godse’s statue to mark the anniversary of his execution.
The statue was installed at the office premises of the Hindu Mahasabha amid Vedic mantras and chants on Wednesday. According to a local report, leaders of the Mahasabha will be performing “Akhand Bharat Arti” in the temple on every Tuesday to acquaint the younger generation with the life and vision of Godse.
This is not the first time, they are glorifying the Gandhi killer, such incidents happen in the past, like the installation of the statue of Godse in Meerut.
Meanwhile, opposition parties are furious over the matter and are planning to take the issue to the court. Nathuram Godse was a right-wing advocate of Hindu Nationalism. He assassinated Mahatma Gandhi, shooting him in his chest thrice at point-blank range in theNational capital New Delhi, in the year 1948 on 30TH January. He was later arrested and sentenced to death. He was hanged in the Ambala Jail on 15THNovember 1949.

The political face of Vishakhapatnam is about to change for the 2019 AP Assembly elections. If the reports are to be true, then Chintakayala Vijay, son of Minister C. Ayyanna Patrudu will be replacing his father. It is heard that Ayyanna has informed CM Chandrababu that his son Vijay would replace him in the elections.
Even Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao also expressed that he would contest either from Chipurapalli or Nellimarla and not from Vishakhapatnam main.

After the Election Commission of India has banned the word ‘Pappu’ to be used against any political leader during an election campaign, the BJP party was quick to respond. In a series of video poster on their official social media accounts, BJP replaced ‘Pappu’ with ‘Yuvaraj’.
A 48 second video clip from BJP about Rahul Gandhi has gone viral on social media. It shows a conversation between the shopkeeper and the worker. The worker says, ‘Bhai, look who is coming. Yuvaraj is coming to our shop. The shopkeeper referring Yuvaraj says, ‘You can buy anything in this shop. But you cannot buy our vote’.
Similar to the video, many videos labelling Rahul Gandhi as ‘Yuvaraj’ (instead of Pappu) became viral on the social media websites. With Gujarat elections underway on December 9th and December 14th, BJP and Congress Parties have expressed their confidence in winning the elections. Though BJP has been leading the Gujarat Assembly elections for the past 2 decades, BJP is facing reprisal due to Demonetization and GST in the recent times.
Congress hopes to cash-in on the anti-BJP sentiment in the state of Gujarat. Rahul Gandhi is leading the Congress Party’s election campaign in Gujarat. One has to wait until December 18th to know whether the Gujarat voter has chosen BJP or Congress!
BJP at the centre bows down to CM’s master strategy!

Finally, CM Chandrababu Naidu makes the BJP at the centre to have its change of plans about the prestigious Polavaram Project. When the CM approached the Center over the Polavaram Project, few BJP leaders at the Center tried to stall the project by stating that a new design doesn’t even require the construction of the currently proposed copper dam.
When Chandrababu requested for the change in Polavaram project contractor, BJP tried to stop the project completely citing reservations of the Central Water Resources Department.
But the BJP party was shocked after CM Chandrababu made sensational comments about the Polavaram project.‘If the Center rejects our proposals on Polavaram, we will complete the project with the state-budget funds.’
This caused a great concern among the BJP leaders who immediately rushed to the Center explaining the consequences if they stall the project and if Chandrababu completes it using the state’s funds. Following this, few officials from the centre had already approached MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao who is known to have close relationships with Polavaram project Contractor ‘Transstroy’. It is heard that Rayapati has responded positively. Cabinet Minister Nitin Gadkari received the proposals from the AP state thru Cabinet Minister Sujana Chowdary after he summoned the latter to submit the same.
In the ‘Basic Sanitation Drive’ globally, India is one among the top 10 countries. But still, more than half the population (56%) are still deprived of toilets and basic sanitation according to the latest report.
