Touted to be a rural village drama, this flick has Sukumar’s narration and Charan’s star power but nothing in the commercial. But the producers Mythri Movie Makers who made this movie for an astonishing budget of 70 crores sold this movie for 80 crores worldwide. But the pre-release buzz worked like magic and guess what, Charan got his career’s best opening. From the two Telugu states, the movie raked in 19 crores of shares thereby pushing Bruce Lee (13 crores) to the second position. In the overseas, the movie collected one million dollars by the end of its first day including special premiers. Overall, Rangasthalam generated a revenue of 46 crores of gross which corresponds to the distributor share of 30.5 crores. Still, the movie needs to collect more than 50 crores to call it a safe venture. However, the first weekend collections will clear the movie’s stamina and tells us whether it will enter the safe zone or ends up being an average gross.

Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan took to Twitter to respond to the recent comments made by Lok Satta founder Jayaprakash Narayana. Yesterday morning, JP took a dig at Pawan Kalyan. He set up the ‘Independent Expert Committee’ to discuss the funds sanctioned by the Centre to the State, and how those funds were spent.

Factually speaking, the Janasena JFC (Joint Fact-Finding Committee) was set up with a similar motive. After the first gathering of the ‘Independent Expert Committee’, JP said, ‘Pawan Kalyan’s interest in JFC gradually vanished. Nothing has been done so far with the JFC report. That is the reason I set up the Independent Expert Committee. Will meet the Centre if given us a chance’.

March 31st is the last day of the Fiscal Year.

At the same time, SBI also reinstated that, the passbooks, checkbooks of the 5 subsidiary banks and Bharat Mahila Bank that merged with SBI will only work until tomorrow. The customers of these banks need to apply for new passbooks and chequebooks by tomorrow.

The Telangana Congress leaders have raised their protests against KCR and TRS Government. ‘The recent CAG report has exposed the Telangana government completely. It’s a known thing that the Telangana Chief Minister KCR has been lashing out at the Centre and on Indian Prime Minister Modi for not allocating funds to his state. The Union Government took its own time to revert back to KCR with its aid CAG.

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India in short CAG is a Central Government wing which audits bills and receipts filed by all State Governments. It has released Telangana State’s report for the fiscal year of 2016-17. To slam KCR who is fuming flames on Centre and threatening it by forming the third front in India, Central Government directed CAG to reveal Telangana’s reports. As expected, CAG embarrassed the Telangana State by declaring that it is no more a revenue surplus State but a huge revenue deficit.

In its long report, CAG declared that the claims submitted by T-State for the year 2016-17 stating that it has a surplus revenue of 6500+ crores of rupees actually generated a revenue of only1,500 crores thereby leaving the State in 5000+ crores of the deficit. Also, it pointed out that T-state actually received funds of more than 16 crores each for constructing T-Hub and its Phase-2. Not stopping there, CAG showcased the dire health situation of Telangana by claiming that the State’s public health facilities went down from 69% to 45% in one year. Also the tall boosting of T-Government on Mission Kakatiya ended up with a result of 17 vanished lakes in Hyderabad itself. Needless to say, there is BJP’s hand in CAG’s report in order to shake TRS camp.

The response towards Hyderabad Metro Rail project hasn’t been overwhelming, nor disappointing. It is somewhere a touch notch below and above the ‘satisfactory’ mark. On an average, around 60,000 commuters use the Hyderabad Metro to reach their destinations. Likewise, the authorities believe that, if they can maintain the frequency for every 8 minutes, it should be sufficient. Currently, the frequency is being maintained only in the Miyapur and Ameerpet Metro line.

Ameerpet – Nagole journey to be reduced by 15 minutes!

Post-April, more or less the same frequency is likely to be maintained. At the same time, the authorities believe that, with an increase in speed, the journey time from between Miyapur and Ameerpet is likely to be around 15mins – 18mins, from 22 minutes.

The commuters traveling between Ameerpet and Nagole are likely to be benefited. The current journey time in this leg is around 40 minutes, with a train for every 15 minutes. Making the best use of the ‘Communication Based Control’, the journey time will come down to 25 minutes, and the train frequency will be increased to 8 minutes. Besides this move, L&T is also planning to increase the frequency of trains to 5 minutes in case of rush hour.

Metro to run until 12:30 midnight on IPL Cricket Matches days

L&T announced that Hyderabad Metro Rail services will be available till 12:30 am on the night of the IPL Cricket Matches. Hyderabad Uppal Cricket Stadium is hosting 7 Matches this season. The matches will take place on April 9, 12, 22, 26, May 5, 7 and 19. Excluding the match on April 22nd, the rest all matches being at 8:00 pm in the evening.

The matches will finish at 11:45 pm. Moreover, with the availability of metro along the national highway, and close to the Uppal Cricket Stadium, cricket lovers are expected to utilize the metro service to reach the stadium.

In this context, the metro trains service is extended till 12:30 am, enabling commuters to reach their destinations. Generally, metro service is only available until 10 pm in the night. The people are appreciating the move from the Hyderabad Metro Rail Authority.

From megastar Chiru to the C-Centre music lovers, Rangasthalam songs got injected like magic. Out of all the calls he got, DSP was surprised with two things. One is a long call from his best friend Bunny and the other is from the IT Minister of Telangana, K.T Rama Rao. The Stylish Star Allu Arjun called DSP recently and discussed his work for village drama for four long hours in depth. That call made DSP joyful such that it gave him enough energy to do more outstanding works. KTR who is a good friend of Charan has sent a big SMS to DSP’s private number praising his art for a movie called Rangasthalam. KTR wished him the best and asked him to do more folk works in the upcoming days. Almost all the songs of this flick became a smashing hit and the radio stations are repeatedly broadcasting the jukebox of Rangasthalam.

Directed by Sukumar, this movie is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. The movie is releasing today all over the world with a decent number of screens. Samantha is the female lead and Jagapathi Babu is the antagonist.

Designs For AP Secretariat Finalised

AP Secretariat design has been finalized. Norman Foster and Partners Company designed the AP Secretariat. The secretariat complex will comprise of 5 main skyscrapers and other buildings around the skyscrapers.

Talking about the design, it will include a blend of Kalankari designs, and modern architecture. The skyscrapers will be constructed using the ‘Diagrid’ framework of construction. Diagrid is an acronym for Diagonal Grid. In Diagrid constructions, the intersecting metal beams will be intersecting with each other, forming diagonal shapes. This not only minimizes the use of steel, but also removes the need for columns, thereby enabling construction of column-free expanses of roofing, and interiors.

 

In Diagrid constructions, only the core; comprising of elevators, staircases, and offices, will be having columns. The complete structure will stand on the exterior Diagrid construction.Diagrid will be constructed of high-grade steel, having light weight and high tensile strength. The interior structure of the Diagrid will comprise of polygonal grid configurations, resembling locally available Kalankari designs. This is the first India structures of this kind, and scale is being constructed in India. The exterior diagonal structures will be manufactured somewhere else and will be assembled at the construction site.

 

The 5 Skyscrapers 

As already mentioned there would be 5 skyscrapers, and various other buildings as a part of the AP Secretariat. Following is the description of the skyscrapers:

  1. Total Number of Skyscrapers – 5
  2. One Chief Minister Tower & 4 Other Towers
  3. Height of CM Tower – 207 meters
  4. Height of each tower – 180 meters
  5. Total built up area – 40, 00, 000 sq. feet

Chief Minister’s tower – 1 ( 46 Floors) (with Helipad)

  • 44th – 46th Floors (3) – Exclusively for Chief Minister
  • 42nd – 45th Floors (3) – For AP Chief Secretary
  • Each tower will be connected through a skyway bridge that is constructed at 9mts above the ground level. These bridges will connect the 3-story buildings to the skyscraper.
  • Employees and officials will use these skyway bridges to move between the skyscrapers and the 3-story buildings.  

3-story buildings alongside the skyscrapers:

There will be a total of nine 3-story buildings around the 5 skyscrapers. Each tower is connected through the skyway bridge to three 3-story buildings. These buildings will host employees, along with various facilities and amenities for tourists. Food courts will be present in these buildings.  

What’s more interesting in the construction is the inclusion of ‘Viewing point’ of Paalavagu. Three skyscrapers (including the Chief Minister’s Tower) are built on side of the Paalavagu, and the other two are built on the opposite side. A skywalk bridge, much larger in length, will be connecting two 3-story buildings present on either side of the Paalavagu. There are plans to develop a viewing point just above the Paalavagu.

Sources close to the AP Government confirmed that the idea of ‘viewpoint’ is inspired by the Marian Barrage, Singapore. It would at least take 3-4 years for the complete construction of the AP Secretariat.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s prestigious 151st film ‘Sye Raa’ is one of the most awaited projects in Tollywood currently. The biographical film brings the life of freedom fighter, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy on to the silver screen. He is regarded as India’s first freedom fighter.

Meanwhile, the second schedule shooting is in full swing. The shooting is taking place in a specially erected sets in Nacharam, Hyderabad. Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan too joined the sets couple of days ago. Two pics have reportedly leaked. The pics are from a marriage scene, featuring Megastar Chiranjeevi, and Nayantara, with Amitabh Bachchan too in the frame. From the quality of the pics, it is clear that someone on the sets has shot them. The pics might have gone viral after they shared with their near and dear.

Just a few days ago, the first leaked picture went viral on the internet. Though the picture was not clear, people were still able to spot Chiranjeevi in his new look.It is nothing short of a herculean task for Surender Reddy to prevent further leaks from the sets of Sye Raa. On a whole, a single picture has revealed the looks of all three major characters; Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, his wife, and his guru.
