The underperformance of Pawan Kalyan – Trivikram movie, Agnyaathavaasi is being linked to TDP by a media house, that has its own press and electronic media.

YSRCP Chief YS Jagan’s media house, Saakshi has come up with this deplorable, wicket and irrational analysis for the failure of Agnyaathavaasi. Saakshi went up to the extent of picturizing TDP and Janasena as bad omens for Pawan Kalyan’s film career.

In its dreadful analysis, Saakshi pointed out that, after TDP came into governance, and Pawan Kalyan announced his party Janasena, his films have flopped at the box office. Surprisingly, films like Gopala Gopala, Sardar Gabbar Singh, Kaatamarayudu which were declared flop, released after Pawan announced his political entry. Though the facts are true, there mere coincidental and nothing more than that.

One can understand that Saakshi (and YS Jagan) is against TDP and Janasena, and rightly cited them as possible reasons or bad omens for the failure of Pawan Kalyan films. Possibly, no one in the world, except Saakshi and YS Jagan will ever have this kind of view. After all, it is media house made by the one, who is often touted as the most corrupted politician in the last decade.

He was awarded one point every time for travelling without a helmet, and 2 penalty points after he was caught in cell-phone driving.If Rushab Mahendra is found driving in the coming one year, he can be jailed for 1 month, said Hyderabad Traffic DCP AV Ranganath.

Telangana State government has been diplomatic in its approach with the Centre (and BJP). The TRS Government is now being hailed for its irrigation projects by the Central Government authorities. The CWC (Central Water Commission) who came on inspection, visited the Kaleshwaram Project. The CWC has given its nod for the construction of the project and hailed for its multipurpose use.

CWC Chief Engineer CKL Das said Kaleshwaram Project is the best irrigation project I have seen so far. ‘I have inspected many projects along the length and breadth of the nation. But I have never come across a project like this. Its multipurpose nature, the speed at which it is being constructed, is absolutely mind-boggling’.

Director of Hydrology, Nityanand Rai said, Kaleshwaram is the best project in the whole of India. The CWC inspection committee assured full co-operation from the Centre and called for a great working relationship on the project.‘The only thing to keep in mind is the upcoming rainy season, and the continuing the same speed of work until the completion of the project,’ said CKL Das.

More shockingly, the oil is being sold to roadside vendors who make junk foods, including snacks, and to fast food centres. This is not the first time such arrests took place in Hyderabad. Consuming foods prepared from these oils can lead to serious infections and diseases. In the past, few people complained about health problems, after consuming food at various meat-serving restaurants.The preparation of oil, burning and melting of the animal carcass and wastes makes the air toxic and noxious.

During the closing event of the ‘Janamabhoomi Maa Vooru’ program launched the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, the MP reportedly took part in the sport, by inducting his rooster into the field.

The news soon spread like a wildfire in the state. Many social activists condemned the MP’s behaviour as irresponsible and immature. ‘This kind of act by public representatives will have a great impact on the common people,’ said an activist.

Political analysts feel that this latest incident will likely damage TDP’s and CM’s reputation both at the state level and at the Centre, given the strict order of SC to ban the game.

The movie grossed over $1.5M in the US, even before its first screening. On release, the film fell flat and received mixed to poor reviews. The film was criticized for its script, narration and lame comedy.

Adoni Revenue Department officials have been carrying out excavations at the Chennampalli Fort, Kurnool district from the past few months. The state media and NGOs across the state alleged that the excavations are a part of a treasure hunt at the fort. The Chennampalli villagers believe that the fort is home to gold ornament (and coins), diamonds and other valuable stones, belonging to the Vijayanagar Empire.

Officials from the Adoni Revenue Department confirmed the discovery of Quartz, Red Chip and Granite in large deposits, in the fort premises, during the excavations. Elephant tusks, three-headed cobra-hood ornament, human remains and other animal remains have been found previously.

The officials stated that the recent discoveries that have a great economic potential, and deeper excavations are underway. The Adoni RDO officials informed the Mines and Geology Ministry on the same.

The villagers are hoping, the discoveries of valuable resources could bring some fortune to their village, Chennampalli, in the form of infrastructural development. Politicians and big shots, in the Kurnool district, are already eyeing on the Chennampalli fort. The villagers are also deeply involved in excavation, at a small scale, in an effort to find gold, diamonds and precious stones.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 102nd film, ‘Jai Simha’ is slated to hit the theatres on 12th January. The film is directed by KS Ravikumar, who directed Rajinikanth in Linga, Narasimha and other movies in the past. Film’s producer C Kalyan expressed, the film’s budget has gone overboard, once the movie went onto the sets. The film’s budget is estimated to be around Rs.26 crores. The whole of tinsel town gossiped that the buyers are backing off from buying the movie rights after Balakrishna’s Paisa Vasool bombed at the box office.

After the film’s trailer was released, it not only impressed Balakrishna fans but also brought the buyers on to the screen. The film’s theatrical rights were reportedly sold for Rs. 23 crores, satellite rights for Rs. 3.5 crores and overseas rights for Rs. 1 crore. Overall, Jai Simha pre-release business has crossed Rs. 27.5 crores.

Balakrishna’s previous film, Paisa Vasool managed to collect Rs. 19 crores against Rs. 32 crores as theatrical rights. Gautamiputra Satakarni collected Rs. 53+ crores against Rs. 46 crores.

With Agnyaathavaasi taking a back seat in the Telugu states, Balakrishna starrer can have good to excellent openings. Balayya’s fan base, high octane action episodes and typical Balakrishna style dialogues should be enough to get back the ROI – Return on Investment for the film, promising that the director KS Ravikumar did not mess up with the story. The film’s target is the regular family audience, and the upcoming festive season is a bliss for the makers.

‘Agnyaathavaasi’ had a stupendous outing on its first day in the US. The huge hype and craze over the film meant, the film has taken box-office collections by storm. Despite the mixed talk, the film managed to rake over $1,513,540 (Rs. 9.65 Cr) for Tuesday, a working day, previews. The film has shattered all the Telugu box-office records (except Baahubali – The Conclusion) in the US. Agnyaathavaasi released in a whopping 576+ locations, the highest for any film, in the US. Previously, Baahubali – The Beginning, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No.150, and Baahubali – The Conclusion grossed $1.36M, $1.29M and $2.45M at the US premieres respectively.

Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh posted the same on his official twitter. Undeniably the film took the US box-office by storm, tsunami or hurricane. The Pawan Kalyan starrer surpassed Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson ticket bookings the day before premiers. The film needs to gross $4M to achieve break-even in the US.

Meanwhile, the film performance was overwhelming in the Telugu states. The official figures are yet to be out. Going by the opening day trends, the film is likely to cross Rs. 50+ Crore mark with collections from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka on its opening day.

Agnyaathavaasi needs to have a steady run for the next one week, for the distributors to reach the shore. The upcoming festive week is likely to draw a family audience to the theatres. If the Balakrishna starrer, ‘Jayasimha’ opens to good talk, ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ collections will be greatly impacted.

The buyers are hoping that Pawan Kalyan might come to their rescue, after all, he is the only reason for them to shell out massive sums for the movie.
