Rana Daggubati New Movie With Director Gunasekhar

Director Gunasekhar is well-known for his high-budget and larger-than-life movies and characters. His last directorial venture, Rudramadevi starring Anushka Shetty in the lead role released in 2015. The film went on to become one of the highest grosser of that year. Gunasekhar announced that his next film would be titled ‘Hiranyakasipudu’. The script work has also been completed.

The director is having a hard time finding actors for his upcoming film. Though he has approached many Tollywood star heroes, none of them came forward, with the exception of Daggubati Rana.

Given Rana’s keen interest in portraying larger-than-life roles with historical importance, the director has been immediately signed him for the role of ‘Hiranyakasipudu’. With Rana on board, Gunasekhar is hoping that producers would soon turn up for the film. The film is reported to cost around Rs. 120+ crores, given the historical backdrop.

Many film experts opinionated that, with no other option Gunasekhar has signed Rana for the role.

Nani’s latest film ‘MCA – Middle Class Abbayi’ released recently on 21stDecember 2017. Though the film managed to rake good collections at the box-office, the film received mixed to negative reviews after it failed to impress the Telugu audience. Given the feedback from the audience and other film circles, the film’s producer, Dil Raju is planning to re-edit the movie.

Director Venu Sree Ram and producer Dil Raju were taken back after scenes between Nani and Bhumika did not fare up to their initial expectations. Surprisingly, romantic track between Nani and Sai Pallavi stole the show.

According to close sources to the production house, Dil Raju is gearing up to include few more scenes from the next week. These scenes are those which did not make the initial cut. 5-7 new scenes [romantic] between Nani and Sai Pallavi are likely to be added to the existing film. Simultaneously, the production unit is also thinking of removing a couple of scenes between Bhumika and Nani.

One has to wait and see, whether the yet-to-be-added romantic scenes between Nani and Sai Pallavi will bring more collections at the box office or not.

In the 81 kg category in the 1994 Hiroshima Asiad, Lakha Singh won a bronze medal but now is leading a life of Taxi driver in Ludhiana. Not only Lakha Singh, many other champions who won medals for the country at the International platform are now doing all odd jobs today to meet their ends.

In the 90’s, Lakha Singh was India’s only ray of hope for medals in the field of Boxing. He was also a five-time National Champion. He won bronze in the year 1994 Asian Boxing Championship in Tehran and also bagged silver at 1995 Asian Boxing Championship in Tashkent.

But Lakha couldn’t reach the expectations in 1996 Atlanta Olympics and only could finish 17th in the 91 kg category.

Nobody till date bothered by the letters he had written to Indian Amateur Boxing Federation (IABF) and Punjab Government explaining his financial position. There are no takers for his story and him out of no other go, ended up becoming a taxi driver, the job which earns him a monthly salary of Rs.8000. Even the taxi he rides is not owned by him.

Shocking to know, that Lakha Singh joined the Indian Army in the year 1984 when he was just 19 years old during anti-Sikh riots.

Telugu people from 42 nations came to Hyderabad to attend the World Telugu Conference which is organized by the Telangana Government at the LB Stadium in Hyderabad. So, how much did the government spent for this prestigious event that lasted for 5 days?

Authorities informed K Chandrasekhar Rao that Prapancha Telugu Mahasabhalu would put a burden of Rs.50 crore on the State Exchequer. While, Telangana CM, KCR stated the view that a conference lasting for five days is going to cost much higher.

Seeing the foresightedness of KCR, the officials realized, while tallying the total expenditure incurred on the World Telugu Conference. The expenditure touched Rs.80 crore mark, Rs.30 crore extra to the estimates given by them.

According to the sources, for Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017, anywhere around Rs. 500 crores was spent by the Government. Rs. 100 crore was sanctioned for roads and beautification itself. In that case, Rs.80 crore for Telugu Mahasabhalu is not a big deal for TRS Government.

In spite of spending so much money, many believe that KCR did not invite many prominent people that included poets of Telangana itself. Criticism reaped that this conference is only to fill the pockets of rich and keep the rich society happy.

Metro Rail Covers 25 lakhs in 26 days

Hyderabad Metro Rail was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 29th this year. If checked, on an average, the metro rail is arriving at every station in around 10 minutes. But still one could see, heavy rush from morning till night.

As per L&T, 25 lakhs passengers travelled in Hyderabad Metro Rail in the first 26 days. As per information, around 1 lakh passengers must have commuted during weekdays, and the count has surpassed the 1 lakh mark on weekends. On this Sunday, a total of 1.25 lakh people travelled in the Hyderabad Metro Rail.

Regarding the speed of the Metro Rail, many complaints have been made by the Passengers who travelled in it. It is estimated that a distance of 27.6 km is covered in 1 hour time. While the Metro Rail Management informed the reason for the low speed of the Metro is due to few technical issues.

The Metro Rail authorities have given assurance that the rail will run at a speed of 60 km per hour once the technical issues are resolved.

Overall, if we can see there is a lot of craze among the common public to travel in the Metro Rail. While few like to go on Jolly rides taking selfies with their families, while few others are excited to enjoy the speed of the Train.

This weekend, more commuters are expected to board due to many public holidays and winter vacations for schools.

According to International Immigration firm Fragomen, Department of Homeland Security is considering to revive 2011 proposal which endorses H-1B petitioners to preregister for the H-1B cap lottery. The National Herald Newspaper was established by Late Jawaharlal Nehru and other freedom fighters in 1938. It was owned by Associated Journals Limited (AJL) until recently, before being acquired by Young India Limited (YIL).

Subramanian Swamy alleged that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi established a shady corporate entity under the name ‘Young India’ with a capital of 50 Lakhs, to acquire all the shareholding of AJL and its properties, valuing somewhere around Rs.5000 crores. Swamy also accused the Sonia Gandhi, after Indian National Congress disbursed Rs. 90.25 crores loan to AJL in the past, which was never repaid. Swamy pointed out that it is violent of Section 269T of the Income Tax Act, 1961. After AJL was shut down, and reportedly sold to YIL, a debt of Rs. 90.25 to Congress Party was shown as ‘negative worth’. The Congress party gave an interest-free loan.

Jayalalitha – Disproportionate Assets case

Subramanian Swamy filed a ‘disproportionate assets’ case on the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalitha in 1996. This led to criminal prosecution and conviction of Jayalalitha and others involved in the named in the case.

After the case trail began, Jayalalitha was forced to step down after found guilty. Jayalalitha, who was termed as A1 (Accused 1) in the recent judgement of Supreme court was awarded 10-year jail term. After Jayalalitha’s death, Sasikala became the A1. She was awarded 4-years imprisonment and Rs. 10 crores as fine.

Only very few people know that Subramanian Swamy was an academician-turned-lawyer. His paper on ‘Notes on Fractile Graphical Analysis’ published in Econometrica 1963, got him a recommendation to Harvard, where he completed his PhD in just 2-and-half-years at the age of 24. He published his researched paper on ‘Index Number’ in 1974 along with Paul Samuelson.  

Subramanian Swamy has along history of troubling corrupt politicians on various fronts. He is also an a strong supporter of Hinduism and addressed various public gathering and meeting on ‘The need for Hindus to be united’. Though many see him as a self-centric and eccentric individual, his history speaks volumes. He is a renowned author on economics and a keen observer of India-China relations and global politics.

He is a distinguish Professors of Economics Harvard Business School, Cambridge, Massachusetts. He also taught economics in IITs. Subramanian Swamy played a key role in shaping India’s economy and guided the then Finance Minister Manmohan Singh and then Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao in creating economic blueprints in 1992. The movie is directed by Surender Reddy, Ratnavelu is reeling the camera.

Balakrishna is fully geared up for his new movie which is titled Jai Simha. Taking the opportunity of Christmas, the makers have launched the audio album and theatrical trailer in Vijayawada. Audiences became live wire, seeing the packed powerful action scenes in the trailer.

In his speech at the audio event, Balayya opened up himself and shared a lot of interesting things about this movie. The existence of a political party greatly depends on its core values and ideological approach. This is a well-known fact. Yet the opposition parties claiming to have the ideological strength and doctrine values are failing miserably. This is largely due to their failure in understanding the current societal needs and whether their doctrines and ideologies outfit the present society. Adhering to historical doctrines and changing them according to the current societal environment, Pawan Kalyan has come out with his Janasena Party’s doctrine and ideological approach.

It was a cold winter morning in Bihar. The Chaibasa treasury and offices of Animal Husbandry Departments (AHD) in Bihar were raided by then Deputy Commissioner of Chaibasa, Amit Khare.

Talking to a daily tabloid, Amit Khare said that he raided the AHD offices after finding abnormalities in the reports of ‘withdrawal of funds’ from the state’s AHD departments. Khare was quick to find that Rs. 7- Rs.8 crores, which was very high at that time, has been withdrawn, with hardly any activity in the past.

This made him raid the AHD offices. After he ceased the Chaibasa treasury and AHD offices with the help of local magistrates, instructing police to keep the records safely, Amit called up the District Animal Husbandry Officer (DAHO) and his subordinates and sought an explanation. They all fled away from their offices.

Khare was shocked to find bank drafts, a large number of fake treasury bills and cash in the DAHO office. The DAHO office and the subordinates’ offices were sealed. During his enquiry into the scam, Amit Khare was shocked to find out that irregularities of over Rs. 25+ crores (in 1991) took place, which is more than the state’s Animal Husbandry budget (which was around Rs. 20 crores – Rs 25 crore) at that time.

Khare said, ‘I am happy I did not waste my time worrying about my career and future.’ Special CBI court ruled Lalu Prasad Yadav guilty in this 2 decade-old case.

His calm approach suits Indian batting

Dark clouds have been casting on Dhoni for a long while. It is true that he had lost his ability to tee off towards the end of an innings. But he has proved vital in the middle order. Given the uncertainty in the Indian batting middle order, and the board refusing to play Ajinkya Rahane in the No.3 and No.4 spot, and Dhoni’s calm approach during the recent with Sri Lanka and previously with Australia have suited the team.

Selectors should look for alternatives – Kiran More

Former Indian stumper and selector Kiran More disagreed with MSK Prasad’s comments on wicket-keeper resources. ‘Dhoni is the best keeper we have. That doesn’t mean we don’t have enough resources. 2019 is a long way ahead, and it is important to have a backup. Dinesh Karthik is there. But I’m surprised Saha is not there.’

The temples in Andhra Pradesh were asked not to celebrate New Year on January 1 by the State Endowments Department, which said it was not “Indian Vedic culture”.

The Hindu Dharma Parirakshna Trust (HDPT), under the state Endowments Department, has issued a circular to all temples in this regard, citing a directive from the Endowments commissioner Y V Anuradha.

The HDPT secretary C Vijaya Raghavacharyulu said in the circular, that exchanging greetings on January 1 and celebrating it like the festival is not Indian Vedic culture. Celebrating Ugadi, the Telugu New Year’s Day, in the month of Chaitra, is appropriate and the best culture.

India attained Independence 70 years ago and we are still following the Gregorian calendar introduced by the British. Lakhs of rupees are being spent in decorating temples to celebrate on January 1 by ignoring Indian culture.

The trust secretary said it is not right, hence there should be no special decoration of temples on Jan 1.  We even find people, throng Tirumala, the abode of Lord Venkateswara, the largest temple in AP. However, SED stated that the order will not be applicable to Tirumala as it is an independent entity.

Resident doctors of AIIMS have urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to live their life for a day to experience the pressure they work under, backing their protests for higher pay and promotions.

They even wrote a letter addressing the PM, yesterday the RDA- AIIMS Resident Doctors’ Association requested the PM to understand the amount of pressure they are undergoing at government hospitals due to poor infrastructure and misbehavior of patients’ relatives during emergency situations.

They said, “We are lucky to have an active PM like you, Now RDA AIIMS requests you to put white apron and spend one day as a government doctor to understand the tremendous amount of pressure we face, the agony of patients who did not get treatment, the dying healthcare system due to lack of resources and infrastructure,” AIIMS RDA president Harjit Singh Bhatti wrote in the letter.

The president said this letter should set an example to all those ministers who level allegations against doctors for cheap publicity.

“Rajasthan doctors are on strike from December 16, this strike is helplessness rather than intentional because the state government arrested 86 doctors by imposing RESMA,” read the letter.

Earlier, the Rajasthan government accepted their demands but now they refuse it, which resulted in mistrust and anguish among the hardworking doctors. The letter requested the PM to instruct the Rajasthan government to fulfill their promises and stop all atrocities against doctors.
