Star heroine Nayantara has been often touted as the best pair for Nandamuri Balakrishna in recent times. They both have starred in films like Simha and Sri Ramarajyam. Simha went on to become on the biggest hits in Balakrishna’s career, while Sri Ramarajyam was a decent success at the box office.  Balakrishna and Nayantara collaborated for the third time with the film ‘Jai Simha’.

Few people in film circles stated that, after many young heroines rejected to act alongside Balakrishna, with no other option, the star hero is roping Nayantara for his films.

The recent comments from Nayantara about Balakrishna, not only surprised everyone but also left them in shock. Speaking to a media house, the star heroine said that, ‘when acting alongside with Balakrishna, I don’t feel any kind of discomfort. Many people mistake Balakrishna garu in the film Industry. He takes care of everything related to me during shooting. I look up to him as a father figure. He advises me as my father’.

Though these comments reflect the personality of Balakrishna on a positive note, the film industry and media is shocked to hear a heroine comparing her co-star, a hero, with her father.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Khaidi No. 150’, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’, and Sharwanand’s ‘Shatamanam Bhavathi’ released for 2017 Sankranti. Not only all the three movies went on to become big hits, but also struck gold at the Tollywood box-office. This time, for the 2018 Sankranti, four movies are lining up. Star-studded films like Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Agnathavasi’ and Balakrishna’s ‘Jai Simha’ are in the race.

Small-time hero, Raj Tharun’s ‘Rajugadu’ is also releasing Sankranti. The hero believes that he can pull-off like Sharwanand, who saw success with Shatamanam Bhavathi. Joining these three, Tamil superstar Surya’s ‘Gang’ is also releasing for Sankranti.

All the four films are releasing in a 2 – 3 days’ gap. Though 2018 Sankranti will be a feast for the Telugu moviegoers, it will also bring out the true stamina of each film in the race.

Agnathavasi is releasing amid high expectations, and the film has reportedly generated 200 crores pre-release business. Nandamuri fans are hoping that Balakrishna’s ‘Jai Simha’ will emerge as a winner, despite not-so-high expectations.

Tamil film ‘Mersal’ went on to become a big hit in Kollywood. Given the success of Mersal, the film’s director, Atlee became a well-known name in Tollywood. Few Tollywood producers offered Atlee quite a number of films in Telugu. It was heard that Mahesh’s next movie would be Atlee. But it remained just as a rumour.

Recently, various online websites and social media reported that Atlee’s next film would be with Prabhas and Akhil in Telugu. These websites went few steps ahead, and also reported Atlee drafted a unique story for Prabhas. Currently, Prabhas is shooting for his upcoming action-adventure film ‘Sahoo’. After Sahoo, Prabhas would be acting in the film with ‘Jil’ fame, director Radha Krishna Kumar. The rumoured Atlee-Prabhas movie is likely to go onto sets towards the end of 2018.

After these rumours started trending, director Atlee chose to make things clear for once and all. ‘Currently, I am not doing any film with Prabhas. I am not sure whether I would ever direct a movie in Telugu in the first place. And there is no truth even in the rumour that I am drafting a story for Akhil’, said the director.

With his statement, it is pretty clear these are all nothing but rumours created by the social media and few film circles. Given the director’s statement, it is also clear that he may not even direct a Telugu film in future.

Bollywood star hero Akshay Kumar had taken a film on ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ which got a lot of notice in western countries, even Microsoft Founder Bill Gates mentioned getting inspired by the movie. Chiranjeevi Adopted Village perupalem in Adarsh Gram Yojana

Prime Minister Modi, introduced Adarsh Gram Yojana and he invited big celebrities from all corners of India to take part in the program. The adoption of villages definitely picked up, Politicians, Film Celebrities, Sportspersons and Industrialists all have come forward to do their bit for the development of our rural areas for the last four years.

In this list of people, even our megastar, Chiranjeevi adopted a village and brought an immense change to Perupalem Village, located in Mogalturu Mandal in West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. He adopted this village in the year 2014 since then there is no stopping to megastar in doing his bit. He already sanctioned Rs.5 crore from his MPLADS to ensure development in all areas.

When asked by the media, the people of Perupalem shared that they are very grateful to Chiranjeevi for transforming their village with Cement Concrete Roads, Underground Drainage System, Water Purification Plants, Canal works and Solar Street Lights. The villagers are eagerly looking forward to the second phase of development works that are going to launch in January 2018. In everyone’s eyes, it is looking like a celebration of New Year.

Chiru proved, that things like these will stay in the hearts of people forever and he also proved that he is way better than many politicians and doing his things by talking less and working more.

‘Touch Chesi Chudu’ Shoot Completed

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is coming up yet again with a masala entertainer titled as ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’. With decent box success given by Raja the Great, the actor has only done this one movie. The film marks the directional debut of Vikram Sirikonda and it has story penned by popular writer Vakkantham Vamsi.

The latest buzz is that the shooting formalities have been wrapped up and the post-production work is underway. It was initially thought the movie will hit the screens for Sankranthi, now the makers decided, to move out of the jam-packed season. They have plans to release it later in the month. The date is yet to be finalized. An official confirmation of the date of release will be out very soon.

Today, the first look poster of the film was revealed. Rashi Khanna is playing the lead role opposite Ravi Teja. Nallamalapu Bujji and Vallahaneni Vamsi are the producers of the film.

Ravi Teja’s brother died in a car accident recently, but Ravi still worked hard for the movie and Touch Chesi Choodu looks promising.

Balakrishna’s 102nd film, ‘Jai Simha’ directed by Tamil Director KS Ravikumar and produced by C Kalyan on CK Entertainments is all set to release on January 12th. Nayantara, Natasha and Hari Priya will be seen as the heroines opposite Balakrishna in this film. Balakrishna will be seen sporting two roles in the upcoming movie.

Currently, the post-production work is underway. The movie’s shooting has been completely wrapped up a few days ago.

Close sources to the production unit said that ‘the producer C Kalyan will be presenting the film by himself. We guess he might have taken this decision after distributors showed reluctance to buy the film. There is a hint of negative feeling about the movie’s outcome after the release.’ Surya Gang Movie and Pawan Kalyan Agnathavasi and Jai Simha movie

‘Jai Simha’ is being released for the Sankranti. Though it is understood that the film’s collections will be greatly affected by Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Agnathavasi’ which will be released 2 days ahead, i.e., on 10th January, the producer was taken back with another bad news.

Surya’s ‘Ganga’ movie is also releasing on January 12th, colluding with ‘Jai Simha’. Tamil hero Surya has a good market even in Telugu market too. If Surya’s ‘Gang’ receives a positive talk in the Telugu states, it will further handicap Balakrishna’s ‘Jai Simha’ collections to a great extent.

For a very long time, Akkineni hero Sumanth has been struggling for success at the box office. After his recent films flopped, his near and dear advised him not to continue anymore as a hero. But Sumanth stressed on the fact that, the reason for him to act in movies is not for making money, but to prove himself as a film hero. His efforts finally paid off. His recent movie, ‘Malli Rava’ went on to become the biggest hit in his career and became a sleeper hit at the box office too.

Generally, Sumanth takes a long break to start a new movie. But after the success of ‘Malli Rava,’ it is heard that the actor has signed for another movie. The film would be directed by a debutant. Sources close to the Akkineni family stated that Sumanth will be playing a slightly negative-shade character in the upcoming film, making it the first time for him.

Okka Kshanam had a very good response on the first day in both the Telugu States but the collections show that it a very poor opening and is lowest for Allu Sirish. The movie had collected a distributor share of 50 to 55 lakhs against the valued theatrical rights of 10cr.

Allu Sirish’s earlier movie like Srirastu Subhamastu had collected 1.27 cr on its opening day, while Kotha Janta collected over 1 cr and even Gouravam was much better with a share of over 60 lakhs and above.

But Okka Kshanam day one number was less than Gouravam. Though there is a mixed talk on the movie, analysts believe that the movie should collect as much as possible by the end of new year’s day as there won’t be many audiences after that.

Apparently, in overseas, the movie managed to start on an impressive note despite still competition from last week’s releases, like MCA and Hello. The latest trade reports show the film collected 29k from its Wednesday premiere. This surely looks like a promising start, considering Allu Sirish’s market value abroad. We still have to wait and watch how the film is going to fare at the overseas box office after a good initial start.
