Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar needs no introduction in a country where Cricket is a religion, and Sachin is the god. Sachin is hailed as one among the all-time greats that have ever played the game. Literally, almost all batting records are in his name, while he was playing. The legendary cricketer never wanted to even miss a single match or even a practice session for that matter.

But that doesn’t seem in the case of his political career. Sachin is one of the 12 MPs who has been nominated to the Rajya Sabha. The former cricketer’s turnout in Rajya Sabha has been really pathetic.

Out of 397 days of Parliamentary sessions, Sachin only attended 29 days. This leaves him with a mere 7.3% attendance. And what’s more surprising is, the cricket was paid Rs 86, 23, 266 for his stint as the Rajya Sabha MP. During his time as the Rajya Sabha MP, Sachin asked 22 questions in the house. Thanks to Rekha, Sachin is pushed to the second spot in all-time worst attendance list from 2012 – 2018.

Meanwhile, senior actress Rekha topped the list for the ‘worst attendance’ with a mere 4.53% attendance. She is seen in Rajya Sabha for 18 days, out of 397 days. Truly they are MPs! Right?

Close sources reported that the actor bluffed that, he is around the corner, and will reach within 10 minutes. It was only at 2:30 pm the actor reach the News studio. ‘Makkal Needhi Maiam’ founder and Tamil Superstar Kamal Hasan made sensational comments over the idea of ‘immediate’ banning of liquor in the state of Tamil Nadu. The actor-turned-politician, who established the party, is coming out with the party’s modalities.

Addressing the media, Kamal Hassan said, ‘if need to go on searching if you want to go to a post office in Tamil Nadu. Whereas, you can find Tasmac (state-sponsored liquor stores) everywhere. There is a need to change this entire system.’

Kamal Hassan’s clarification on the sale of liquor came at a time when the opposition parties are calling for an ‘immediate’ ban on liquor in the state. In his column to Tamil Magazine ‘Ananda Vikatan’, Kamal Hassan expressed that, ‘it is impossible to make everyone in the society hate liquor. If you intend to completely abolish something with an immediate effect, it will give rise to the mafia. We have already witnessed such kind of events in the past.

Drinking liquor is not like playing gambling. One’s body will not cooperate if they suddenly stop drinking liquor. It should be a gradual process. The parties are coming up with the ‘ban liquor’ slogan to only woo the female voters. I am more worries about liquor shops in and around educational institutions.’

Speaking on sops and free welfare schemes, Kamal said that, we cannot continue promising ‘free’ welfare scheme for a longer time. We need to find alternatives to improve the purchasing power of the people. Improving educational standard is one of the key motives of our party, said Kamal Hassan.

Nirav Modi’s company Firestar Diamond Inc. filed for bankruptcy protection in a US Court. In its court papers, the company stated that many buyers were interested to purchase the company. 

Between 2011 and 2017, Nirav Modi secured loans worth thousands of crores through Punjab National Bank Mumbai branch through ‘Letter of Undertakings’ from various international credit agencies. After the scam was exposed, in addition to Nirav Modi and his uncle, it is learned that even top officials from PNB were involved in the $2 Billion scam.

Before the scam was exposed, Nirav Modi and his uncle, Mehul Choksi left India. In its court filing, Firestar Diamond Inc. said, “early expression of interest in purchasing some or all of the debtors’ business operations has been strong”. In other words, this means, companies have come forward to purchase Nirav Modi’s Firestar Diamond Inc.

Meanwhile, the CBI and other law enforcement agencies have attached various properties of Nirav Modi as a part of the case. The CBI has already arrested 13 people in this case. Of which, 7 are from the Punjab National Bank and 6 from the Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi’s companies. Nevertheless, it is really surprising to see US companies coming forward to purchase Firestar Diamond.

The craziest star of Telugu, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has left movies for Politics after Agnyathavasi. However, some makers who gave advances to Pawan are in a perplexed situation due to his political plans.

Ace production banner Mythri Movie Makers has signed a deal with Pawan Kalyan in the past. They bought call sheets of Pawan for a movie under Santosh Srinivas. For 40 days, they agreed to pay 40 crores which almost gives us the equation of one crore per day. They got Pawan signed in the contract by paying 10 crores in advance already but Pawan vanished from Industry to serve people leaving Mythri Movie Makers in huge confusion. As there is no indication from Pawan, the production house approached him to do justice. Sources close to Pawan Kalyan claimed that he assured the makers that he would start the movie in six more months as per his promise. He also assured that in case he fails to do the movie, he would return 10 crores without any cuts. So this amount of MMM will be in Pawan’s account until the end of this year. The deal is fine for now but some say that MMM should suffer the interest rate losses for all this year as Pawan has not agreed to pay the interest if he needs to return the advance.

This production team is busy bankrolling big flicks. Rangasthalam is ready for release on 31st March and another flick Savyasachi will be out in the month of May. Even if they do a flick with Pawan, it would cost 70 crores of the budget to complete the flick and it should get blockbuster status to escape from losses.

South India Film Theatres Shutdown From Tomorrow

Chairman of ‘Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce Digital Committee’, Damodar Prasad made an official statement that all movie theatres in South India will remain locked out from March 2nd. The decision has been taken after the Committee has made multiple negotiations with Digital Service Providers.

Speaking at the press meet, Damodar Prasad said, ‘we pleaded the Digital Service Providers Organization to call-off the VPF (Virtual Print Fees) charges. But they have gone against it. So far, we have held negotiations thrice in the past few weeks. But we have been facing resistance every time from them. Moreover, one of their preventative said, ‘All the very best to the Industry’ in a sarcastic tone. This clearly shows their nature towards our requests.

This behaviour from the Digital Service Providers, who solely rely on the Film Industry, is highly uncalled for. That’s the reason, all the film theatres in South India are standing united, and have called for a lockout.

The Virtual Print Fees should be cancelled after 5 years, from 5 years of the installation of Digital Services in the theatres.This is a worldwide practice. Danayya To Produce The Trivikram And Nani Movie

If everything goes well, Nani could become the first hero to clock in dozen hits very soon. ‘Natural Star’ Nani has already clocked 8 back-to-back hits. Given his mass look and Rockstar look in his upcoming film ‘Krishnarjuna Yuddham’, the hero is sure to back another hit in his career.

According to latest reports, Nani has reportedly signed for a film with ‘words wizard’ Trivikram Srinivas. The director is currently busy in his pre-production works for Jr NTR movie. Once the movie is complete, his movie with Nani will go on to sets. What’s more interesting is that the DVV Danayya will be producing the film.

Initially, Trivikram had to do a film with Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh after his film with Jr NTR. Given Danayya’s request, Trivikram will go ahead with Nani, after completing his movie with Jr NTR.

Trivikram Srinivas is known for his family entertainers. Moreover, Nani is also a family hero. The duo’s combination is surely taking the expectations on the film to sky high. The director is known for his controversial statements. But his tweets with respect to Sridevi’s demise are surely showing the other side of the director.

 

In his latest tweet, Ram Gopal Varma once again expressed his displeasure over god and Sridevi’s death. He said, ‘I care a damn about which demon was killed in the past for us to celebrate HOLI. Since I am grieving for the way God killed SRIDEVI. I wish everyone a very UNHAPPY HOLI’.

Rangasthalam Movie Second Song Release Date Confirmed

Mega Power Star Ram Charan Tej is quite excited about his latest flick ‘Rangasthalam’. The Sukumar directorial has already created quite a buzz in Tollywood circles. Mega fans are expecting that Rangasthalam will be a turning point in Ram Charan’s film career. The movie is made on a huge budget, with mind-blowing periodic sets in the film.

The first single from the movie, ‘Yentha Sakkagunnave’ already became a chartbuster. The second single from the movie will release tomorrow (March 2nd) evening. The second single is likely to be titled, ‘Ranga Rangasthalam’, the title song from the movie.

According to sources close to the production unit, the exact time of song’s release will be revealed later. Currently, director Sukumar is planning to completely wrap up the shooting by this week. Parallelly, the post-production work is also underway.

Samantha is starring opposite Ram Charan in the movie. Moreover, the film’s theatrical rights already fetched a whopping price. The movie will be releasing on March 30th, 2018. Ram Charan’s mass look, Devi Sri Prasad’s music coupled with Sukumar’s direction & screenplay are raising the expectations on the film. Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling the film.
