The furious BJP legislator Vishnu Kumar Raju once again fumed at the TDP for its vote bank politics. Responding to the CBN’s All Party Meeting, this MLA gave a perfect reason for skipping the meet.

Vishnu Kumar Raju is not in good terms with TDP right from the beginning of the alliance. Every now and then, he used to point out at the TDP in AP State’s bad phase. After TDP’s exit from the alliance, he increased his voice in Press meets and in Assembly only to slam TDP and its head CBN. This Vizag North MLA answered the media regarding Babu’s All Party Meet. He declared that the meet can be rather called as TDP Strategy meet as it only will discuss Politics rather than state’s burning problems. Talking about Janasena and YSRCP’s absence, Vishnu declared that they did their best by skipping this meet. On the same note, He thrashed TDP for alleging Janasena and YSRCP are acting under the direction of BJP. Vishnu opined that if BJP is unable to control its ex-alliance partner TDP, how can it direct parties like Janasena and YSRCP who are fighting against the Centre. On the concluding note, Raju declared that his party too skipped the meet intentionally as he felt that it is not at all useful and was organized for publicity sake.

On the other hand, TDP concluded the All Party Meet along with some fewer NGOs. CBN waged a war against the Centre by asking his MPs to intensify their protest to bring No Confidence Motion into discussions.

He might have issues and rivalry with TDP National head CBN but this is not the way to speak on media regarding a person who is in a respectable position of Chief Minister. It is very common that Politicians often slam their opponents with allegations but Sai Reddy’s comments went too far. Uttering words like Dacoit only reflect his stature. Phrases like “Born to single father and mother” is not an easy one to get condemned just like that.

Keeping Vijay Sai’s derogatory comments aside, people are expecting a response from the Opposition leader Y. S Jagan. Common people are shocked to see the silence from Jagan despite responding to his party MP’s behavior. He should either have a meaningful explanation or at least condemn Vijay Sai Reddy’s comments if not in a mood to apologize in front of media. Jagan’s silence only makes people believe that he is supporting his M.Ps cheap words which in turn affect his own name and fame thereby resulting in upcoming general elections. On the other hand, TDP’s non-responding state will add more benefit to CBN as it might fetch some sympathy from the voters.

In what could be termed as the biggest shock after the Facebook Data leak controversy, the bank accounts of the IT giant Cognizant (American MNC) have been frozen by Income Tax officials.

‘Few bank accounts of Cognizant has been frozen today. The company failed to pay Rs 2,500 crores of DDT (Dividend Distribution Tax) to the government as per the Income Tax Act. The amount is due for the FY 2016 – 2017. Within few days, the FY 2018-2019 is about to begin.

The DDT issue arose after Cognizant purchased its own shares from a shareholder in May 2016. Both the parties came to a compromise. An American Company and a Mauritius company were holding the shares previously with 46% and 54% of shares respectively.

It deduced 10% as a tax on the remittance to the US Company, but did not deduct the same on remittance to the Mauritius Company’, said an IT official.Reacting on this, Cognizant issue a press note. ‘Until the further hearing, the HC ordered the IT Dept. not to take further actions. Cognizant has paid all applicable taxes on the transaction. The IT Department’s actions are without merit and contrary to law’.Only time can tell whether this is a politically motivated attack or a genuine one.

Karnataka is all set to go for its State Assembly elections on May 12. The Election Commission of India called for a press meet early in the morning. In its survey, C-fore predicted that Congress will win around 126 seats in the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections, with BJP to bag around 70 seats. Deve Gowda’s JD(S) is likely to be limited to 27 seats.

In the 2013 Karnataka Assembly elections, Congress won 122 seats, BJP won 40 seats, and JD(S) winning 40 seats. The survey has once again pointed out the fact that, the downfall of BJP is looming.

Vijay followed this daily routine rule of theirs in his recent English article. He dared to question TDP by backing his leader Jagan’s unconditional fight for Special Status. Not stopping there, he heaped praises on the Centre showcasing his trust on Modi. Two of the Telugu Film Industry’s senior heroes expressed their views regarding Andhra Pradesh’s ongoing Politics. One is a part of AP Government declares a war whereas the other who has nothing to do with Politics back the Centre.

None other than the Nandamuri’s legal heir, Balakrishna has opened his mouth on the Special Category Status for the first time. After gracing the Bicycle rally, Balayya spoke to the press about AP State’s present situation. Without any doubt, he declared that the Centre has backstabbed AP by not granting the Special Category Status. Balayya warned BJP that he is all set to wage a war if Centre fails to fulfill all its promised grants during the time of AP-Telangana bifurcation. He backed his allegations by stating that his TDP Government has utilized 900+ crores to develop 7 backward districts in AP in 1050 crores granted by the Centre. If this is the reality, then Balayya questioned the Centre for its false propaganda of utilization the granted funds.

Other senior hero turned character actor Suman responded in a rather shocking way. He asked the people of AP to stay patient for one more year such that the BJP would complete its first term. According to him, BJP would grant the Special Category Status in 2019. Political analysts are scratching their heads to understand Suman’s intentions. Only God knows if he supporting BJP and asking the people to wait one more year or he just said it just like that.
