The death of a Priya Mehta in Delhi clearly reminds us the famous lines quoted by Karl Marx, ‘All relations between individuals will be eroded by cash’. As police investigation got deeper, spine chilling realities have seen light.
Priya Mehta’s husband, Pankaj initially approach police stating that his wife has been killed in a shooting carried by a group of strangers. During the shooting, ‘in order to save the child, Priya has taken the bullet’ said Pankaj.
The Delhi police took the case as a challenging after this incident drew a lot of flak from everyone. The police observed that in the whole attack it was only Priya Mehta who was attacked, and Pankaj hardly suffered any bullet shots. Suspecting Pankaj, within an overnight of investigation the truth came out.
The whole attack was planned by Pankaj. The police stated that ‘Pankaj had to pay a sum of INR 40 lakhs to another person. Pankaj thought of pushing the whole shooting incident on the person who gave him the loan. Reportedly, Pankaj was also having an affair with his ex-wife form past few months’.
This incident again clearly illustrates the face of the current society, and to what extent can an individual commit themselves the sake of money.
