Black Widow’s India Release Date Brought Forward to April 2020

0

Marvel announced Friday that the next film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, centered on Scarlett Johansson’s titular character, will release a day earlier in India. Additionally, Marvel also revealed that the Black Widow movie would have five local language voice dubs in India: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. This is the first time Disney is releasing a Marvel movie in India in six languages — don’t forget English — having first undertaken that task with Terminator: Dark Fate, which released earlier in November.

In the works for several years, Black Widow was officially confirmed at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con back in July, with a global release date of May 1, 2020. In addition to Johansson as Natasha Romanoff, the standalone Black Widow movie stars David Harbour (Stranger Things) as Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian, the Russian counterpart of Captain America in the comics; Florence Pugh (Lady Macbeth) as Yelena Belova / (second) Black Widow, a sister-figure to Romanoff; O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale) as Mason, a S.H.I.E.L.D. ally and Romanoff’s love interest; and Rachel Weisz (The Favourite) as Melina / (third) Black Widow, a seasoned spy.

Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as Tony Stark / Iron Man in Black Widow as well. If that’s confusing, given what happened in Avengers: Endgame earlier this year, it’s because the Black Widow movie is set after the events of 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. Behind the scenes, Cate Shortland (Lore) is directing Black Widow, off a script by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson.

Filming began on Black Widow in May in Norway and the UK and moved to Budapest, Hungary in June, and then Georgia, USA, and Morocco in the following months. Production wrapped up in October. Black Widow is one of six Marvel movies in Phase Four of the MCU, alongside The Eternals in November 2020, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in February 2021, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in May 2021, a sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home in July 2021, and Thor: Love and Thunder in November 2021.

Black Widow will release April 30, 2020, in India in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. It’s out May 1, 2020, elsewhere.

Stokes uncertain to bowl in remainder of Hamilton Test Match

0

Ben Stokes‘s left knee has flared up again, allowing him to bowl just the two overs on the opening day of the Hamilton Test. There’s doubt over whether the all-rounder can bowl for the rest of the match although he was on the field for most of the day.

Stokes looked in discomfort after delivering the final ball of his second over. He held his knee and pulled up, after looking uncomfortable for the entire duration of his two-over spell.

“Ben has some pain in his left knee and will be assessed on whether he can bowl during the rest of this innings,” England said in a statement. “He felt some discomfort at the end of his second over earlier today.”

This is not the first time Stokes’s left knee is giving him trouble. He had a cartilage tear and surgery on it in May 2016. His name is taken off the bowling roster in Hamilton though doesn’t stand to affect England to a great extent, with the visitors going in with a five-prong pace pack that also includes Stuart Broad, Sam Curran, Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer.

CM kcr ends impasse over TSRTC strike, says workers can resume duties

0

The Telangana Chief Minister said that the state government has decided to give Rs 100 crore to the RTC to temporarily mitigate the losses.

After a deadlock that lasted for close to two months, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that the state government is willing to welcome back striking workers of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC).

“All of you can resume duties happily tomorrow,” KCR said after a Cabinet meeting that lasted for over three hours on Thursday.

Nearly 48,000 employees went on strike from October 5 to press for various demands, including the demand to merge the TSRTC with the government, which would give them the same benefits as state government employees.

The protest was being led by a Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the TSRTC employee unions. Around 25 employees of the corporation died during the period, some of whom took their own lives due to the crisis.

The Telangana Chief Minister said that the state government has decided to give Rs 100 crore to the RTC to temporarily mitigate the losses. KCR also proposed that he would personally meet five employees from each depot at Pragathi Bhavan, his residence in Hyderabad, to allay their fears.

A plan on privatization is expected to be taken soon.

KCR lashed out at the union leaders who were leading the strike, and said that they had ‘misled’ the employees.

“We care for the employees but not for the union leaders. We will give a job to the kin of the families who died. We will accommodate them either in the RTC or in some other department in the state government. We will definitely help them,” he said.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief also said that the TSRTC would increase the ticket prices to reduce TSRTC’s losses. Promising that the corporation would soon turn a profit, KCR said that the unions had to go.

“We will set up a ‘Workers Welfare Council’ with a senior minister in charge. We will fix a date and call for a meeting once a month. It is important that you should survive and your kin should also survive. The organization belongs to you and not to the unions,” KCR said in the press meet, addressing the workers.

He also said that he would soon travel to New Delhi and meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discuss the issue with him.

On Monday, the JAC had announced that it was calling off the strike and asked the employees to resume work from Tuesday.

Hundreds of employees of the TSRTC were arrested across the state on Tuesday, as they attempted to rejoin duties after a 52-day long strike. Protests rocked TSRTC depots as the management refused to take back employees who reported to work following the decision of the JAC to call off the strike.

TSRTC Managing Director Sunil Sharma had earlier said that the decision by the employees to resume duties, who were on an ‘illegal strike’, was not legally tenable and asked them to wait till the Labour Commissioner completes the process of hearing their case.

TSRTC has not paid salaries to the employees for the months of September and October, causing distress to thousands of employees. The Chief Minister had not only rejected all the demands of the employees but also claimed that they dismissed themselves by abstaining from work illegally.

In a move that further angered the employees, the government announced that it was privatizing 5,100 TSRTC buses. The High Court last week dismissed a petition challenging the government’s decision and said that the government could go ahead with its plan.

The West Indies selection committee on Thursday selected the two sides which will play against India in the ODI and T20I series in December. the World T20 champions West Indies will meet India in three T20Is in Hyderabad, Trivandrum, and Mumbai. The two sides will then face three ODIs from December 15 and December 22. The West Indies selectors have supported their players who recently competed upon Afghanistan in Lucknow.

Tom Latham’s ton keeps England’s pace challenge at Bay

0

Tom Latham danced out of his crease and hit Joe Root straight down the ground for a boundary to bring up his 11th Test century, in the last over before Tea. In a five-pronged pace attack, none of the English seamers could do enough to dislodge or threaten the New Zealand opener’s stay at the crease on a fresh pitch where the visitors had decided to bowl after winning the toss.

The closest they did come, in what was also a rare error from the southpaw, was when he looked to slash an away going delivery by Jofra Archer but got an edge, which was dropped by Ben Stokes in slips. It was a relatively easy chance and rare coming on the day where way more was expected.

Post Lunch, it was yet another 80-odd-run session, of which Tom Latham scored a 50 more. Yet, it was a period where New Zealand progressed far more smoothly and authoritatively to reach 173 for 3 at Tea.
Resuming the innings on 86 for 2, New Zealand began slowly, scoring only six runs in the first half an hour of play. It was also a phase in which England bowled possibly their most disciplined lines and lengths, where freebies were few.

They could have even reaped rewards soon after but only for a few errors, the first of which came via a contentious call from the third umpire where he overturned an LBW decision believing that the batsman had inside-edged the ball. Ross Taylor survived. And soon after came Stokes’ drop which allowed Latham to continue with his innings.

While Ross Taylor was busy doing Ross Taylor things, combining his strong wristy play with some scratchiness, en route yet another away-from-limelight fifty, Latham was far more severe on the bowlers. He crunched eight boundaries in the post Lunch session and was severe to anything stray. The duo added 116 runs for the third wicket before Taylor departed slashing hard at a wide delivery from Chris Woakes and getting an edge to Root at slips, right after scoring his 32nd Test fifty.

With less than half an hour remaining for Tea, the drama died down soon after his departure. Latham and Henry Nicholls played cautiously and saw the side to Tea without any further damage.

Brief Scores: New Zealand 173/3 (Tom Latham 101*, Ross Taylor 53; Chris Woakes 2-41, Stuart Broad 1-33) vs England.

For the first time in her career, pretty diva Kajal Aggarwal would be reportedly essaying the role of a cop in her upcoming multi-lingual movie to be produced by actor-producer Rana Daggupati. “Kajal has given her nod to play an author-backed role in Rana’s production, but things are being worked out, ” says a source, close to the unit. Actually, Kajal teamed up with new-age star Rana Daggupati in blockbuster ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ and set the screen on fire. Now, she will be doing a big-ticket movie under his production which is meant to promote young talent and new stories. Right now, Kajal is honing her marmakalai skills, rooted to Kerala for her action-centric role in ‘Bharateeydu 2’.

Abhimanyu Mithun to be investigate over KPL fixing

0

Former India pacer Abhimanyu Mithun has been summoned for questioning in the Karnataka Premier League’s betting and spot-fixing scandal. Mithun will become the first international to be questioned by Central Crime Branch sleuths probing the scandal. Mithun is captain of the Shivamogga Lions team in KPL.

Confirming the news, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Patil said, “Yes, we have directed Mithun to appear before the CCB for questioning.”

As Mithun has represented the Indian cricket team in both Tests and ODIs, CCB has kept the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in the loop, Patil said. Mithun played four Tests and five ODIs for India.
“We have prepared some questions for Mithun about his game during the last KPL season,” a CCB officer said.

Sought by Bengaluru police, Mithun is still in Surat playing T20s. The CCB has arrested eight people since July in connection with the KPL betting scandal, including Ali Asfak Thara, the owner of Belagavi Panthers. The Karnataka high court on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of Thara.

In KPL, Abhimanyu Mithun first played for Malnad Gladiators. He then appeared for Bijapur Bills before switching to Shivamogga Lions in the last season.

Last week, CCB had issued notices to Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) and KPL team managers and sent them a questionnaire on the KPL matches. Some KPL players who were not willing to join hands with bookies were honey-trapped.

All attempts to contact Mithun failed. At present, the bowler is in Surat with the Karnataka team, which is playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament.

Virtual Reality and Few Instances of Virtual Reality

0

Definition of Virtual Reality:

Virtual Reality is an unreal atmosphere that is designed with software and displayed to the user in such a fashion that the user rejects belief and allows it as a real atmosphere. On a machine, virtual reality is essentially endured through two of the five senses: sight and sound.

The most simplistic kind of virtual reality is a 3-D model that can be examined interactively at a machine, normally by managing keys or the mouse so that the content of the model moves in some way or zooms in or out. More advanced works include such methods as wrap-around display screens, actual rooms expanded with wearable machines, and haptics devices that let you assume the display models.

An Instance of Virtual Reality:

This technological transit has enough to moo about. A dairy farm in Russia has designed for virtual reality headsets for its cows to “overcome their distress”.

A BBC statement said that the VR methods were specifically accommodated to hang onto the cattle heads, dispensing a “different summer field simulation presentation”.

The Russian Ministry of Agriculture and Food excerpted analysis to allege a connection among a cow’s emotional involvement and milk yield.

Primary tests are assumed to have encouraged the “overall excited condition of the herd”.

A Ministry report said that the trials were carried at the RusMoloko field in Moscow’s Ramensky region.

“Patterns of dairy fields in various nations show that the quantity — and sometimes quality — of milk enhances particularly in a relaxed environment,” it added.

Researchers now intend to study the consequences of the plans on a long-term foundation.

Aus Name Unchanged Team For Adelaide Day-Night Test Against Pakistan

0

Australia Thursday named an unchanged team for the day-night second Test against Pakistan after trouncing them in Brisbane but took a risk by releasing concussion substitute Cameron Bancroft. The home side easily won the first Test by an innings and five runs inside four days, but selectors resisted the urge to rest one of their strike bowlers or add a fourth to help share the load at Adelaide Oval. That means swing bowler Michael Neser will be 12th man when the Test starts on Friday, with paceman James Pattinson and batsman Bancroft released to play domestic cricket.

“We’re unchanged,” said skipper Tim Paine. “We thought we played a pretty good game of cricket last week (in Brisbane).

“Our attack is all feeling good and fresh and they have all got great pink-ball records so no need to change.”

Bancroft’s departure to play for Western Australia in Perth means there will be no immediate batting substitute in case of a concussion.

Paine joked that “we’ll just get someone out the crowd”, before adding: “‘Bangers’ is a couple of hours away on a plane so if anything does happen, we will be able to get him back pretty quickly.”

The decision comes just days after Bangladesh were forced to use two concussion substitutes in one day, with Liton Das and Nayeem Hasan both forced out of their day-night Test against India in Kolkata.
The task facing Pakistan is ominous with Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon all in the world’s top five wicket-takers in day-night Tests, while Pat Cummins is the world’s top-ranked bowler.

Australia has won all five pink-ball Tests they have played since the concept was launched four years ago, with Paine warning his pace attack was relishing the chance to bowl under lights on a home wicket.
“That (Adelaide) wicket looks a little bit perhaps drier than it was for the last pink-ball Test we played here against England,” he said.

“But as we know, the pink ball always offers enough. Our fast bowlers certainly enjoy bowling with it, particularly under the lights and the games tend to go quite quickly.

“So I think the bowlers are excited to be back in Adelaide.

“The wicket, for a drop-in wicket, is probably the best drop-in wicket in the world so it offers the fast bowlers something very rare for a drop-in wicket.”

Australia goes into the match with a settled top order spearheaded by David Warner, Joe Burns and Marnus Labuschagne, who all fired at the Gabba.

Steve Smith was the exception, out cheaply to leg-spinner Yasir Shah who has now dismissed him seven times in Test matches.

AFG crumble as Cornwall, Brooks help West Indies surge ahead

0

Rahkeem Cornwall was the wrecker-in-chief once again and backed his seven-wicket returns from the first innings with three more to finish with a tally of ten, putting West Indies in pole position in the Test. Afghanistan started with a deficit of 90 and the openers started strong before losing their way, slipping from 53 for no loss to 59 for 4. Cornwall’s strikes put West Indies on course for an early finish as the hosts finished on 109 for 7 – leading by just 19 – when stumps were drawn on Thursday (November 28).

Javed Ahmadi was left a mere spectator watching the carnage from one end after the openers’ hard work paid off to build a fifty-run stand. It all came undone in a matter of four overs. Cornwall would’ve struck earlier, and accounted for Ahmadi, but he had overstepped. The opener then went to make it count and battled his way to a half-century. On a wicket that was turning, Ibrahim Zadran didn’t pick the spin and shouldered his arms. Once he fell for 23, the middle order returned binary digits with Afghanistan blowing their strong start.

Ahmadi made his let-off count and his counterattacking style worked for Afghanistan as they went into the lead. They could, however, only manage to take it to 19 at the end of the day owing to a triple-strike from Roston Chase in just the three overs he bowled. Ahmadi kept the West Indian bowlers at bay for the majority of the day, but just on the last ball before stumps, his knock of 62 came to a tame end.
In the morning,

Afghanistan struck back with a rush of wickets to keep West Indies‘ lead in control. Amir Hamza returned his maiden five-wicket haul in Tests on debut and was primary in keeping the lead below 100. But they couldn’t stop Shamarh Brooks to power through to his maiden Test ton at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Breaking the stand between Shane Dowrich and Brooks that fetched 74 for the sixth wicket – West Indies’ highest sixth-wicket stand of the year – Afghanistan got their inlet after West Indies started the day strongly.

Rashid Khan posed questions on a deteriorating wicket, beating the batsmen a fair few times. Still extracting turn and bounce, he flummoxed them with his guile and wily leg-spin. But the break didn’t come. It was Zahir Khan, who managed to break the fifty-run stand, beating Dowrich on the inside edge for 42. Jason Holder was stumped, and Cornwall was adjudged leg-before despite a huge inside edge as West Indies were crumbling. Amongst it all, Brooks stood tall and reached his maiden Test century – a knock of perseverance and grit. Hamza delivered the final blows to keep West Indies’ lead to just 90.
There was heavy fog in the morning with visibility levels being pretty low as conditions were tough to play in.

However, play started on time and runs flowed upfront. John Campbell got to his maiden Test fifty before Afghanistan dented the opposition with quick wickets. Hamza provided Afghanistan with the inlet, breaking the overnight stand that was nearing a century. Ihsanullah pulled off a stunner in the region of a leg-gully, bringing an end to an impressive Campbell knock of 55, that came off just 75.

Meanwhile, Shimron Hetmyer’s dismal run in Test continued with another failure. Rashid, who was getting lots of turn and bounce, forced another poor score after trapping him in front with the leg break as West Indies lost two wickets in the opening hour. Replays showed that the ball may have missed leg stump, but given Hetmyer’s uncomfortable stay in the middle, it was only a matter of time.

Brooks, meanwhile, continued unperturbed in a knock that came at a vital time with wickets falling at the other end. Despite the wickets, runs came at a brisk pace as the batsmen found the boundaries regularly. The dependable Chase fell cheaply to Zahir Khan, failing to negate the turn and dip and ended up with an edge to the short leg as Afghanistan’s spinners were causing all the damage. Rashid would’ve had another had it not been for Afsar Zazai putting down Brooks when on 59.

Brief scores: Afghanistan187 & 109/7 (Javed Ahmadi 62; Rahkeem Cornwall 3-41, Roston Chase 3-10) lead West Indies 277 (John Campbell 55, Shamarh Brooks 111; Amir Hamza 5-74, Rashid Khan 3-114) by 19 runs.

It must also be noted that the Android 10 update for Asus 5Z removes AI charging, Beauty Live, Easy Mode, Go2Pay, Kids Mode, Page Marker, Report Location in Safeguard, Selfie Master, WebStorage, ZeniMoji, Yandex cloud option in File Manager, and the weather animation setting from the phone’s software. Moreover, it disables twin app support for four games: Arena of Valor, Injustice 2, PUBG, and Vainglory. Asus advises users to back up all their phone date before installing the Android 10 update, as downgrading to Android Pie later will result in erasure of all data.

Burning Star Sampoornesh Babu scored the second biggest hit of his career with the recent film Kobbari Matta. This is the second success as a solo hero, after his maiden flick Hrudaya Kaleyam. The man behind both the projects is Steven Shankar aka Sai Rajesh.

Sai Rajesh directed Hrudaya Kaleyam and produced Kobbari Matta. Both Sampoo and Sai Rajesh share a close bonding over many years. When Kobbari Matta landed in financial troubles and wasn’t able to release for almost three years, the duo managed to stay strong and fought hard to release it. Finally, the film had hit the screens and became a success at the box office. Currently, both of them are planning to work together once again and score a hattrick. Apparently, this will also be a spoof comedy and Sai Rajesh is working on the script. More details about this new project will be revealed soon.

Ajit Pawar To Be Back As Deputy Chief Minister: Sources

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)’s Ajit Pawar is set to be Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra once again after his dramatic betrayal and homecoming, sources in the party said on Thursday, hours before the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government’s oath ceremony. But not today.

Ajit Pawar will stay away from the first round of oaths today as Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray is sworn in as Chief Minister along with six ministers at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park.

“I am not be taking oath today. Today six leaders will be taking oath from each party,” Ajit Pawar said after a meeting with uncle and NCP chief Sharad Pawar and other party leaders including Jayant Patil and Praful Patel.

On whether he would be Deputy Chief Minister again, he said: “There is no decision yet. The party will decide”.

Just two days ago, Ajit Pawar resigned as Deputy Chief Minister of the BJP-led Devendra Fadnavis government, which collapsed after failing to reach a majority.

Some reports suggest that Ajit Pawar may face competition for the number two post from Jayant Patil, who replaced him as an NCP legislature party leader after his sudden flight to the rival camp.

If he does manage the post again in a matter of five days, it will be a remarkable bounce-back for the 60-year-old “Ajit-Dada”, who shocked his party by taking the oath with Mr. Fadnavis at 7.50 am on Saturday. Just hours before that, he had attended a joint meeting of the Sena, NCP, and Congress to discuss their “Maha Vikas Aghadi” alliance. He had also been a constant fixture by Sharad Pawar’s side in the meetings of these parties.

The BJP, which is 40 members short of a majority in the Maharashtra assembly, had banked on Ajit Pawar to bring in NCP MLAs. But almost all NCP lawmakers remained with Sharad Pawar.

The Supreme Court, acting on the Sena-NCP-Congress petition challenging the surprise government formation, ordered Mr. Fadnavis to prove his majority immediately. With hardly any room to improve his government’s headcount in the assembly, Mr. Fadnavis resigned.
