Congress Compete For Tie Up With TDP
Posted [relativedate] at [relativetime time_format=”H:i”]
Excluding few opportunistic politicians, and individuals, almost everyone in the state of Andhra Pradesh hates the Indian National Congress (INC) Party, or simply the Congress Party for bifurcating Andhra Pradesh. Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP came to power, criticizing Congress for bifurcating Andhra Pradesh, and that too unscientifically.
But the recent political developments in Andhra Pradesh politics are hinting towards an alliance between TDP and Congress. Following are the factors that indicate towards the TDP – Congress alliance:
- Congress attending the All Party Meet
- AP People bitter over BJP
- UPA (led by Congress) is the only alternative to NDA at Centre
- Third Front still on papers
- Hatred towards Congress is on a downward trend, thanks to BJP
- Pre-polls indicating Congress win in Karnataka
- Congress moral victory in Gujarat Elections
The alliance between TDP – Congress might still remain a dream, given the dynamics of Andhra Pradesh state politics. By not inducting KCR into the state cabinet in 1999, Chandrababu Naidu has made a historical blunder. And now, if he goes ahead with Congress in 2019 Election, it would a historical blunder, that could end TDP’s chapter in Andhra Pradesh.

Vijay Sai Reddy – I Did Not Fall On PM Modi’s Feet

TDP MP CM Ramesh made sensational comments that YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy fell on the feet of PM Modi during the 15-minute adjournment break in Rajya Sabha. Post that, TDP MPs lashed out at the YSRCP MP stating that, he has insulted 5 crores Telugu people. Nara Lokesh too reacted quite harshly on Vijay Sai Reddy.
With things going out of order, Vijay Sai Reddy jumped into the action and rubbished CM Ramesh’s statements. ‘The TDP leaders are criticizing me stating that, I touched the feet of Modi. That did not happen. I only greeted him (Namaste). I have written the letter to the Secretary-General of Parliament. In my letter, I requested the officials to make the Rajya Sabha video footage public’, said Vijay Sai Reddy.
Meanwhile, there has been a sudden rise of the anti-YSRCP wave on social networking sites. Even electronic media took the comments of CM Ramesh on face value and started telecasting the same for their TRP Ratings. It will be interesting to see whether the video footage will be out very soon or not.
