No one has the hopes on YCP will win in the election of Kakinada Municipal Corporation after seeing the results of the Nandyala election. The YCP followers and fans are not showing their faces with frusration after the Nandyala result. This leads to YCP defeat in Kakinada before the poling. YCP leader Kannababu, however, suppoerted to lose th eelections. However, thsi matter came out after the defeat of YCP in Nandyal elections.

Kannababu won as MLA from Kakinada Rural in 2009 and later came to the Congress following Chiranjeevi. He contested as an independent candidate in the 2014 elections. Kannababu asked all his followers to work for him but most of his followers go to TDP and YCP. He lost the 2014 elections, therefore, he joined YCP.

Kannababu now got to time to take old revenge in Kakinada municipal corporation elections. He got a chance to select the candidates for elections. Keeping the revenge in mind he selected all the candidates who helped him in 2014 elections. As this may be one of the reasons that YCP defeat raised with Kannababu.
