400-year-old Curse on Mysore Wodeyar Family ends!

The 400-year-old curse on the Mysore Wodeyar Family has finally ended after the Wodeyar Family announced that the birth of a baby boy. It will be the first time in the last 400 years, the Wodeyar Family will be having its own natural heir.
The baby is born to Yaduveer and Trishika who got married in June 2016 last year. Yaduveer is adopted the son of Pramoda Devi (previous queen). Pramoda Devi and her late husband Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wodeyar adopted Yaduveer after the couple did not have any children.
Royal Wodeyar family took the reins from the king of Srirangapatna in 1962.Alemalemma, the wife of the king of Srirangapatna, tried to run away with royal ornaments to Talakkad, a small town along the river Cauvery she was surrounded by soldiers of Raja Wodeyar. Following that, Alemalemma jumped into the river cursing ‘may the river turn into a whirlpool. May the Wodeyars never bear any children.’
Wodeyars tried to please and even installed an idol of Alemalemma in Mysore to reverse the curse. The Wodeyars have repented on many occasions in front of the Alemalemma idol. Srikantadatta offered special prayers to Alemalemma in Talakkad a few years ago.
Referring to the post, SVN Reddy stated that, ‘the photo of a ‘broken metro pillar’ that is being circulated on WhatsApp and other social networking platforms is not from Hyderabad. The photo is a metro pillar from another country. The pillars in the Hyderabad Metro Project weight thousands of tons. They are earthquake resistant pillars too. The Hyderabad Metro project which has been a dream of every Hyderabadi came into functioning on 29th of November 2017. The Metro project was officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 28th of November 2017. The metro created a record for serving more than 2 lakh commuters on the first day itself.
But in his speech in Vishakhapatnam today, Pawan Kalyan lashed on the to the state and central governments. There is a clear change in his attitude, his approach and his political strategy this time around. Interestingly, he reminded the promise ‘I will the people’s voice which he gave during 2014 elections. In this context, Pawan Kalyan raised the issue of Privatization of Dredging Corporation of India and exclusive Railway Zone to Vishakhapatnam.
Pawan held Vishakhapatnam MP Haribabu and Anakapalli MP Avanthi Srinivas. ‘These both leaders failed to do their duties as public servants. Their numbness brought me here to question the atrocities of the State and Central governments,’ said Pawan Kalyan. One can understand the attitude with which Janasena would be heading into the 2019 elections, given Pawan’s harsh stance on BJP and TDP.
