Heavy Rains To Hit The Telugu States In Next 3-4 Days

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) warned the Telugu states of heavy rains from May 11th. The heavy rains will last for around 3-4 days according to the IMD.

‘Beginning on May 11th, we can notice heavy rains coupled with thunders, and lightning in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. At the same time, different regions in the country will experience different types of climate. Winds are expected to touch the 60 kmph to 70 kmph mark during these 3 days’ said a senior official from the IMD.

The IMD has already warned the people to stay indoors as much as possible, owing to the heavy frequency of lightning strikes. In just a matter of three days in the last one week, more than 150,000 lightning strikes were recorded in Andhra Pradesh alone.

Speaking on the same, IMD Director K Jayaram said, ‘due to the blizzard climatic conditions prevailing across the nation, we request the people to be utmost careful. They should stay away from bus shelters, construction sites, and another type of shelters made with iron’.Given the extreme temperatures, which are soaring 4 Degrees – 5 Degrees above normal, the rains are expected to bring the heat down.

The ATM-shutdown program continued from 2017 May to 2018 February, for a period of 10 months. It is during this time, the 2000 ATMs were shut. As of May 2017, the number of ATMs in the country totaled to 110,116. While as of 2018 February, the ATMs number in the country slipped to 107,630. The reason behind the shutting down of these ATMs is known to be ‘reduction of costs’.

Bank of India 208 ATMs, Canara Bank 997 ATMs, Central Bank 344 ATMs, and Punjab National Bank 1,122 ATMs have been shut down during this period. At a time when the banks are amassing huge revenues in the name of service fees, and various other fees by continuously sucking the money from the customers, it is shocking to see the banks shutting down the ATMs in an attempt to reduce operating costs.

Shocking everyone, former heroine, and actress Madhavi Latha has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.  From the past few months, Madhavi Latha has been strong in protesting against various forces that attacked Pawan Kalyan and Janasena party. Even very recently, she staged a silent protest in front of the Telugu Film Chamber, after actress Sri Reddy abused Pawan Kalyan in an un-parliamentary language.

Surprising everyone, the actress has joined BJP in the presence of Cabinet Ministers Bandaru Dattatreya and Nitin Gadkari. Both the leaders welcomed the actress joining the saffron party and appreciated her for taking a bold step.

The actress made her Tollywood debut with the romantic flick ‘Nachavule’ that released in 2008. Later the actress has left for the UK, to do her Masters in Fashion Designing at Coventry University. She has been highly vocal against ‘Casting Couching’ in Tollywood film industry in the past few months. It will be interesting to see to what extent will the actress criticize Pawan Kalyan, who she acknowledges as her icon.
