Kidambi Srikanth to become Andhra Pradesh deputy collector

Star badminton player Kidambi Srikanth has been among the most celebrated sportsmen in recent times. Hailing from Guntur, the 25-year-old badminton player has taken everyone by surprise with his exceptional performance. He became the first India to win Super Series Premier Men’s title, after winning the Indonesia Super Series Title last year.

Recognizing his efforts, the Indian Government recently conferred him with Padma Shri award.

On June 28th, 2017, addressing the assembly, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced that Kidambi Srikanth will be given a Group-1 level post in sports quota. With respect to that above statement, the AP Government released a notification stating that Kidambi Srikanth has been nominated as Deputy Collector.

In the past, another star badminton player PV Sindhu has been nominated for Deputy Collector post.  To his credit, Kidambi Srikanth won two gold medals at South Asian Games (2016 – Singles and Team), last year Indonesia Super Series Title (2017), Bronze in Asia Team Championships (2016) and bronze in Asian Junior Championships (2011). In 2011 CWG Youth Games he won Silver and Bronze, in Mixed Doubles and Boys respectively.

YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy is spending more time in the Prime Minister’s Office than anywhere else in recent times. The media has caught him wandering around the PM Office in the parliament, multiple times in past few weeks.

Talking to the media representatives, the YSRCP MP lashed out TDP Government and Chandrababu Naidu. He alleged that TDP has compromised state’s interests all this while, and the people of Andhra Pradesh are paying the price for Chandrababu’s mistakes. After his criticism, the journalists asked him why he was seen revolving around the PMO.

The answer from Vijay Sai Reddy left everyone in shock. ‘At the time of bifurcation, the AP’s debt was Rs 97,000 crores. Currently, AP’s debt is around Rs 2.25 Lakh crores. There is hardly any development in the state in the last 3 ½ years. All the money borrowed from International banks and financial institutions is going into the pockets of TDP leaders.

YSRCP wants a corruption-free Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu should be sent to jail. I have proofs against Chandrababu’s corruption, and wanted to meet the Prime Minister and discuss the same’, said Vijay Sai Reddy.

This not only shocked everyone but also exposed how ‘senseless’ he was. If he has proofs he should have gone to Supreme Court, and not PM’s Court (Office)!

With TDP MPs protests reaching a new high, the BJP-led NDA government is having a nightmare. It has become almost impossible for Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to run the Lok Sabha beyond two minutes. The YSRCP MPs are playing second fiddle to TDP MPs in the Lok Sabha. At the same time, TRS MPs and AIDMK MPs are having their own demands. With an attack from all sides, the Centre completely has no clue whatsoever.

Adding to this, another state came forward with ‘Special Category Status’ demand, along with Andhra Pradesh. The state is none other than Bihar. Jan Adhikar Party MP Pappu Yadav demanded SCS for Bihar. In this context, he has also sent a notice to the Lok Sabha Secretary General asking for a debate. Prior to this, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar also spoke about the Special Category Status for Bihar in the parliament two days ago.

‘I raised this issue 13 years back itself. In 2005, I wrote a letter to the Prime Minister asking to grant Special Category Status to Bihar. Post that, we passed the Special Category Status bill in Bihar Assembly, and since then I have been fighting the same’, said Nitish Kumar in the Parliament.It looks like BJP’s end is coming closer.

Chandrababu Naidu sent multiple request letters to the Central Government to sanction 1700 crores to aid the Polavaram Project earlier. Centre which claimed that it is not liable to the increased rates in Tenders declared that it won’t aid AP Government regarding Polavaram. But with the Popularity CBN is gaining from all the anti-BJP groups, the Modi Batch has decided to calm down the protesters by sanctioning this fund. The Union Finance Ministry has transferred the fund sanctioning notice to AP Government and to the Water Resource Ministry stating that it is giving 1400 crores to Polavaram. It also asked the AP Government to submit the final audit of Polavaram to grant the remaining 300 crores in the future.

According to them, Pawan has bought a piece of land which worths 10 crores for just 20 lakhs. Pawan stated that his followers with love had sold this land to him to build a house. As those TDP members intensified their allegations on Pawan’s corruption, some spokespeople of Janasena talked to press regarding this issue. They declared that the land has bought legally with perfect papers and there is no wrong in buying with such small rate.

This explanation has been ridiculed by Janasena haters. They ask Pawan’s sincerity in buying such costly land to cheap rates in order to evade high taxes thereby incurring losses to the revenue department. Had if someone legally gifted the land, there would have been no issue other than the gift tax or it would have been normal if Jana Sena activists kept their cool.

According to highly placed sources, the Facebook stock took the blow after it New York Times exposed Cambridge Analytica harvested the data of over 5 crores (50 million) Facebook users, without their permission.With the 7% dip in Facebook’s stock price during the day, and a slid of 1.3% after the bell, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg net worth slipped by Rs 37,900 crores (or $5.81 Bn) in one day.

Cambridge Analytica harvested the user’s information through a simple app. The whole thing is believed to be controlled by Russian hackers. Rumours surfaced that, Facebook Chief Security Officer, Alex Stamos Moran has left the company in the wake of this scandal.

But he confirmed that he has not left the company, but instead his role is changed. ‘I’m currently spending more time exploring security, risks and working on election security’, tweeted Alex Stamos.

The whole scandal was leaked by a whistleblower from Cambridge Analytica. New York Times claimed, the leaked data helped Donald Trump’s 2016 US Presidential Elections digital campaigning.
