Nampally: On the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, as every year for the last seven decades, All India Majlis-e-Tameer-e-Millat organized its 70th Jalsa-e-Rahmatulil Aalameen at Exhibition Grounds in Nampally on Sunday. Eminent scholars, preachers and clerics had advised Muslims not to fear the present environment because from the ancient period of Islam Muslims have been facing similar circumstances and have come out shining.

Tameer-e -Millat said the verdict on Babri Masjid was most disappointing, “Though we respect the judgment, it is not satisfactory.”In its resolutions passed on the 70th public meeting Tameer-e-Millat said that, “Though the environment in the country is not conducive for Muslims, they are passing through a turbulent phase and are optimistic about the future because it is the basic belief of Muslims that there is light at the end of the tunnel.” Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui exhorted Muslims to follow the teachings and life of Prophet Mohammad, who overcame such crises with peace.

Maulana Aashad Rasheed from Muradabad, advised Muslims to be even more patriotic. He said, “India needs peace and interfaith unity and Islam peaches about love and peace.” Maulana Sada-ul-Huda Qasmi, Deputy Secretary Amaanat-e-Shariah, Maulana Ahsan-al-Hamoomi, Maulana Aziz-ur-Rahman, and Vice President Tameer-e -Millat Ziauddin Nayyar and Irani Counsel General Haghbin Ghomi also spoke about the life and ways of Prophet Mohammad.

Controversial actress Sri Reddy last year moved to Chennai after triggering a furor with her allegations in Hyderabad.

Controversial actress Sri Reddy last year moved to Chennai after triggering a furor with her allegations in Hyderabad. She did try for a few offers in Kollywood but nothing really big came her way. More than her work, her loose comments/defamatory posts/cryptic posts continued to define her public image. Now, the actress is doing a Telugu movie. Titled ‘Climax’, it is being directed by Bhavani Shankar. The most curious part is that Sri Reddy claims to be playing the role of controversial celebrity.

“It is true that I am essaying the role of a controversial diva. The crime thriller revolves around my role and it would be a gripping entertainer,” she adds. Director Bhavani Shankar adds, “Sri Reddy plays an actress who lives by her own terms. The role will be almost close to her real-self,” he concludes. Can ‘Climax’ redeem her career? We have to wait and see.

Sena Exits Govt; NCP, Congress Meetings On Maharashtra

0

The Shiv Sena’s Arvind Sawant announced his resignation as a minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government this morning, setting up the party’s anticipated severing of ties with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) after a dispute over government establishment in Maharashtra. The Sena’s determination to pull out its only minister in the central government meets a key requirement of Sharad Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) to consider an alliance to establish the government in Maharashtra. After weeks of turmoil, the state appeared to tilt towards a Shiv Sena-led government with the NCP calling a meeting of its MLAs and Congress’s top leadership meeting in Delhi.

Shiv Sena‘s side is the truth. Why stay in the government in Delhi in such a false environment? That is why I am resigning as Union Minister,” tweeted Arvind Sawant, who was Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.

The Shiv Sena was on Sunday invited by Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to indicate “willingness and ability” to form government in the state after the BJP said it would not stake claim to power. It needs the support of the NCP and the Congress to do so.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray is expected to reach out to Sharad Pawar today. Uddhav Thackeray is tipped to be Chief Minister, with an NCP deputy, in a formula that has been in circulation over the weekend.

The NCP had asked the Sena to quit the NDA for any such possibility to come in play. The party has reportedly called a meeting of its MLAs today after the rapid developments since Sunday.

“If the Sena wants the support of the Congress and NCP they must first announce that they are ending ties with the BJP and they are out of the NDA. Their ministers need to quit the council of ministers,” NCP’s Nawab Malik said on Monday, adding that there was no proposal from the Sena so far.

In an editorial in Saamana, the party mouthpiece, the Sena had said last week: “With 54 MLAs of NCP, 44 Cong MLAs and few independents, we can reach majority. The Sena can present its own Chief Minister and for that, three parties with independent ideology should form policies which are acceptable to all”.

But in a meeting with Sharad Pawar, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi ruled out supporting the Shiv Sena. The Congress Working Committee, the party’s top decision-making body, is meeting this morning to discuss whether the party will back a Sena-NCP government and if so if it should provide outside support.

Caretaker Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis resigned on Friday. On Saturday, as the term of the Maharashtra legislative assembly ended without any resolution, Governor Koshyari invited the BJP to form the government.

The BJP and the Sena, long-term allies for more than 25 years, won a majority together in last month’s Maharashtra elections. The BJP won 105 seats and the Sena 56, which placed them comfortably ahead of the majority mark of 145 in the 288-member assembly.

However, the Sena refused to form the government with the BJP without an agreement, in writing, that it would have the chief minister’s post for half the term and an equal share in ministries, in what is called a “50:50” deal discussed with BJP chief Amit Shah. As Devendra Fadnavis denied any such deal, Sena’s attacks on the BJP became more and more vitriolic. After the Governor’s invite, the Sena moved its legislators to a resort in Madh Island, two hours away from Mumbai. “We believe that the BJP will try all means to induce our MLAs,” said Sanjay Raut.

Vedhika pockets Rs 30 lakh?

Despite not having a market in Tollywood, young actress Vedhika is reportedly pocketing Rs 30 lakh for her role in ‘Ruler’.

Despite not having a market in Tollywood, young actress Vedhika is reportedly pocketing Rs 30 lakh for her role in ‘Ruler’. She will be romancing Balakrishna in this action film along with B-town hottie Sonal Chauhan. “Vedhika didn’t budge on her pay despite being a routine glam-centric role. The producer didn’t mind heeding to her demands since they wanted an actress who is popular among Telugu, Kannada and Tamil viewers.

Although she deserves not more than Rs 15 lakh per film,” says a source, close to the unit. The actress, who was last seen in Tamil dubbed movie ‘Kanchana 3,’ has tried her luck in T-town with straight Telugu movies like ‘Vijayadasami,’ ‘Banam’, and ‘Daggaraga Doorangaa’ but failed to make an impact. Meanwhile, she made her mark in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films before returning to Telugu films after a gap to share screen space with Nandamuri hero.

“Balakrishna doesn’t object to any choice made by the director and just goes on with his work, unmindful of the popularity of his female co-star. He doesn’t recommend names of the actresses either,” he adds. It is known that he is donning khakis as well ‘suit-boot’ look in his upcoming movie. In remuneration, Vedhika has surpassed her arch-rivals like Nivetha Thomas, Anupama Parameswaran, Nabha Natesh, Ritu Varma and Kalyani Priyadarshini, who are more popular in T-town. “No doubt, she is ahead of her peers but we have to see whether she will scale down her pay to do more Telugu movies or will go back to Kannada movies,” the source points out.

Rohit Sharma Loses Cool After Error On Giant Screen

0

Rohit Sharma lost his cool during the second Twenty20 International (T20I) against Bangladesh on Thursday when an error on the giant screen, ruled Soumya Sarkar not out. The incident took place in the 13th over of the match after Rishabh Pant stumped Soumya Sarkar off a delivery from Yuzvendra Chahal.

The on-field umpires initially gave him out but later signaled for the third umpire Anil Chaudhary to check the stumping, with Soumya Sarkar waiting near the boundary line. The giant screen displayed the decision ‘Not Out’, leaving stand-in captain Rohit Sharma infuriated. However, Soumya Sarkar was sent back to the dressing room as the fourth umpire conveyed the decision to the top-order batsman.

Soumya Sarkar was dismissed for 30 runs off 20 deliveries. However, his efforts could not help Bangladesh register a series-clinching victory as India beat the visitors by eight wickets.

After the T20I series, India will host Bangladesh for a two-Test series, starting from November 14 at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.

The second match at the Eden Gardens will also mark the first day-night Test to be played in India, which is slated to get underway from November 22.

Redmi K30 Rumoured to Launch This Year, K30 Pro Could Launch By Q1 2020

0

Redmi K30 is rumored to debut as early as this year. The new Redmi smartphone will debut as the successor to the Redmi K20 that was launched earlier this year. Apart from the Redmi K30, Xiaomi is said to bring the Redmi K30 Pro sometime next year. The Redmi K30 is already confirmed to come with 5G support. Unlike the Redmi K20 that has a pop-up selfie camera, the Redmi K30 would come with a hole-punch display design. This would make it look similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10 series that flaunts the company’s Infinity-O display.

Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has claimed that the Redmi K30 will launch this year, while the Redmi K30 Pro will arrive next year. However, the exact launch dates are yet to be revealed. It is also unclear whether the new Redmi phones will debut initially in China or launch first in a market such as India.

Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing last month also posted a couple of teaser images on Weibo to reveal the design of the Redmi K30. One of those images showed off the phone with a dual selfie camera setup placed on the hole-punch display. The other teaser image highlighted support for 5G standalone and non-standalone (SA/NSA) sub-6Hz networks.

Qualcomm at IFA 2019 in September notably announced that it would bring 5G chips for mid-range smartphones next year. This suggests that Xiaomi could launch the Redmi K30 with a 5G-supported SoC made by MediaTek, instead of retaining its partnership with Qualcomm for its next-generation Redmi K-series smartphone.

MediaTek in April suggested that it would bring its Helio M70 5G modem to India by the end of the year. The company in May also announced its 5G-ready SoC with ARM Cortex-A77 processing cores and Helio M70 modem that is due for next year.

Here, Nithin is seen running after beautiful Rashmika. He is intoxicated with love. Then how can he be called Bheeshma? That we have to watch it on the silver screen when the film hits the theaters on Feb 21, 2020.

Directed by Venky Kudumula of ‘Chalo’ fame, The film is a cute love story. The scene of Nithin trying to grab the waist of Rashmika may attract trolling and criticism from the feminists.

Music is by Mahati Sagar. Naga Vamsi is producing the film. It seems to be an out and out romantic entertainer.

“Why 15 Days, Take A Month,” Sena To BJP

0

With allies BJP and Shiv Sena looking no closer to forming a government together in Maharashtra a day before the assembly’s term ends, a Sena leader has thrown a fresh dare at the ruling party. The BJP should form government as the single largest party, said Sena MP Sanjay Raut, and take “not 15 days but one month” to prove its majority.

The deadline for government formation is midnight on Friday and 15 days after the Maharashtra election results on October 24, the BJP-Sena feud remains unresolved. The Shiv Sena has refused to back down on its demand for a “50:50” partnership with the BJP, including rotational chief ministership, and has moved its MLAs to a hotel in Mumbai in an apparent attempt to prevent defections to the BJP.

Sanjay Raut said it was up to the BJP to stake claim to power and prove its majority.

“The single largest party should get the opportunity to form the government first. That is the BJP. They should get not just 15 days, but one month to prove their majority in the assembly,” Sanjay Raut told the media.

On whether the Sena had an alternative, should it decide to break up with the BJP, Mr Raut said: “If the Governor calls the single largest party to form government and their Chief Minister takes oath, then they have to show their majority on the floor of the house. If they fail, then others can form government. The Sena can too. But it is only fair that the largest party get the chance first.”

Mr Raut again articulated his party’s dismay with the BJP, particularly Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and its refusal to acknowledge what it claims was a verbal agreement on a “50:50 deal”.

“We were hoping for talks on October 24 evening, after the results. Where was the question of a new proposal when we already had an agreement before the national election for 50:50 power-sharing? Suddenly, the BJP rejected the formula and said there was no such discussion. If a BJP leader, that too someone in the chief minister’s post, uses such language, then how can we accept it,” Mr Raut said.

The BJP yesterday met with Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and said it had discussed the legal implications of the delay in government formation.

But the BJP has also not budged from its stand that Devendra Fadnavis will be Chief Minister for a full term, with no time-share with the Shiv Sena.

Having won 105 seats in the 288-member assembly, the BJP says it has earned chief ministership. The Sena has 56 seats but insists that the BJP – with its reduced tally in the state since 2014 –needs its support more than ever to take power in Maharashtra.

Telugu Bigg Boss 3 contestant Rahul Sipligunj is basking in the glory of his win on the TV reality show. It was celebrations galore across the two Telugu states and congratulatory messages flooded social media for the Bigg Boss 3 Telugu winner. Rahul Sipligunj is on cloud nine and wants to repay the love he gained over the last few months from the audience.

Rajinikanth’s ‘Darbar’ motion poster released

0

As announced earlier, the new motion poster of the A.R. Murugadoss and Rajinikanth film Darbar, was released simultaneously on social media by stars such as Kamal Haasan (on the occasion of his 65th birthday), Mahesh Babu, Mohanlal and Salman Khan.

The film is written and led by Murugadoss and presented by Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions. This is Lyca’s second collaboration on a Rajinikanth film after their success with 2.0.

The first poster that was released earlier showcased a headshot of Rajinikanth with plenty of cop memorabilia around him, and the wording, “You choose whether you want me to be immeasurable, bad or worse.” Reports indicate that the movie is set in Mumbai and that the Superstar will play an IPS officer in the film; his last cop role was in the 1992 film Pandiyan.

Darbar, slated for release this Pongal, marks the coming together of Rajinikanth and Murugadoss for the first time. Starring Nayanthara in the female lead, it has music by Anirudh, cinematography by Santhosh Sivan, and is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. Post Darbar, Rajini will be teaming up with director Siva for a film for Sun Pictures.

Bairstow called up as cover for Denly for NZ Tests

0

Jonny Bairstow has been called up to England’s Test squad for the two-match series against New Zealand as cover for Joe Denly who suffered an ankle injury while training last week.

Bairstow will remain with the squad after the end of the T20I series which concludes on Sunday (November 10) at Eden Park in Auckland and provide cover for England’s two-day warm-up match against a New Zealand Cricket XI and the three-day game against New Zealand ‘A’, both to be played at Cobham Oval, Whangarei.

According to the ECB, Denly suffered ligament damage to his right ankle while training ahead of the first T20I last week. Although the 33-year-old took part in some light training on Thursday, including having some throwdowns, England’s management has decided to be precautious by adding Bairstow to the Test party.

Denly, who impressed with his improved displays during the summer’s Ashes series, hopes to be fit for the three-day warm-up game beginning on Friday (November 15). Should he miss that deadline, it is highly unlikely he will be part of the team for the first Test at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. That could open the door for his Kent teammate Zak Crawley to make a Test debut in the top three.

Bairstow was left out of England’s original Test squad after a poor Ashes. He averaged just 23.77 from five matches with just one half-century. At the time of the squad announcement for the New Zealand tour, Ed Smith, England’s national selector, said Bairstow’s exclusion was “an opportunity for Jonny to reset” but that he expected the Yorkshireman to come back stronger.

Denly’s injury may allow Bairstow a way back sooner than he or Smith might have thought.

App Defense Alliance From Google, Check Out the Story

0

Google, on Wednesday, announced the App Defense Alliance, wherein it is bringing in more reinforcements to check for bad apps even before they hit the Play Store. While Google Play Protect scans the Play Store and flags malicious apps, the App Defense Alliance does a thorough scan before they are listed on the Play Store, dramatically reducing the chances of you downloading any such offensive apps accidentally. The App Defense Alliance is made with three companies on board right now.

The tech giant has partnered with ESET, Lookout, and Zimperium to form this initiative. Malicious apps that trigger spammy ads or serve malware under the garb of being something else, has been on the rise. The App Defense Alliance will work to stop such apps from hitting the Play Store. The three partners will integrate Google Play Protect detection into their own scanning engines, to bring an extra layer of eyes for all the apps that are queued to publish.

“The Android ecosystem is flourishing with over 2.5 billion gadgets, but this prevalence also makes it an attractive objective for exploitation. This is accurate of all global platforms: where there is software with extensive reproduction, bad actors are trying to combat it for their gain. Working closely with our industry associates allows us to collaborate with some truly talented researchers in our department and the detection powerhouses they’ve built. This is all with the purpose of, mutually, reducing the chance of app-based malware, recognizing new threats, and guarding our users,” Google stated.

Reports of Google removing malicious apps from the Play Store with millions of downloads are in abundance. Threatpost found over 172 malicious apps with over 335 million downloads in September this year. Furthermore, 42 malicious apps with a collective download of 8 million were removed in October. With these many instances of bad apps being removed, the App Defense Alliance is a welcome addition to amp up security.

Sena Refuses the claims Of Moving MLAs To 5-Star Hotel

0

With just a day to the deadline for government formation in Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena has reportedly booked rooms at a five-star hotel in Mumbai amid reports that a faction could break away to support its ally BJP. Talk of defections from the Sena gained more ground ahead of the BJP’s meeting with Governor Bhagar Singh Koshyari later today.
“Our MLAs are committed to the party and do not need sequestering to keep them from defecting. No party will break in Maharashtra,” Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said today, rubbishing the reports.

“No one can dare to come near Shiv Sena MLAs. Our MLAs are firm in their resolve and committed to the party. Those who are spreading such rumors should worry about their MLAs first,” Sanjay Raut told reporters.

Despite the denial on record, sources have told the media that the Sena has made arrangements to shift MLAs to a five-star hotel in Bandra Kurla Complex, just a few minutes away from Matoshree, party chief Uddhav Thackeray’s home. The MLAs will be moved to the hotel depending on Mr Thackeray’s decision after a meeting he has called at Matoshree.

“Uddhav Ji will discuss the Shiv Sena’s policies with his MLAs and give them guidance,” Mr Raut said.

“The Sena MLAs passed a resolution authorizing Uddhav Ji to take a final decision regarding government formation,” party legislator Shambhuraje Desai told reporters after the meeting.

Maharashtra will go into President’s rule if no government is in place by tomorrow, before the state assembly’s term ends.

Yesterday, a BJP leader close to Mr Fadnavis, Sudhir Mungantiwar, had talked about “good news” and said that the Mahayuti (BJP-Sena alliance) would come to power, no matter what.

This was followed by reports that a section of the Sena’s 56 MLAs was in talks to break away and back the BJP, which has 105 MLAs. Together, the two parties (161) won a clear majority in the 288-member Maharashtra assembly but the alliance hit a rough patch over the Sena’s demand for a 50:50 partnership that includes rotational chief ministership. The BJP’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, eyeing a second full term in power, has rejected it.

“We will get good news from Mungantiwar himself that Maharashtra will get Shiv Sena Chief Minister,” Mr Raut said, repeating that his party would form the Maharashtra government with its own Chief Minister.

Mr Raut claims the support of over 170 MLAs but has not specified how. The Sena’s perceived attempts to get the support of the rival Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)-Congress alliance didn’t produce results with Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s refusal to consider any truck with the long-term BJP ally.

With time running out before the Maharashtra assembly’s term ends on Saturday, the Sena MP said: “There is no deadlock from Shiv Sena. We don’t carry any locks or keys. We only have one key and that is the truth.”

Amid tense negotiations, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said the BJP would win the Sena’s support and form government. “Devendra Fadnavis is the choice and he should lead the government. The BJP won 105 seats so the Chief Minister should be from the BJP,” Mr Gadkari said.

CM Gautam, Abrar Kazi arrested on fixing in KPL

0

Former Karnataka players CM Gautam and Abrar Kazi have been arrested by the Central Crime Branch of Bangalore in what comes as a further setback for the beleaguered Karnataka Premier League. Gautam, the wicketkeeper-batsman who shifted to Goa and Kazi, who’s now part of the Mizoram setup, have been accused of spot-fixing during the final of the KPL between Bellary Tuskers and Hubli Tigers.

Gautam and Kazi, both part of the Tuskers team of which the former was the skipper, were allegedly paid INR 20 Lakhs for batting in a slow manner in the game against the Tigers. Chasing 153, Tuskers ended up with 144 – opener Gautam scored a 37-ball 29 while Kazi struck 13 off six deliveries. The two players were also said to have been involved in fixing another match against Bengaluru Blasters.

The arrest of these two cricketers increases the tally of players’ arrest to four, with Nishant Singh Shekhawat and M Viswanathan being the ones arrested earlier, along with Bengaluru Blasters bowling coach Vinu Prasad. Ali Asfak Thara – the owner of Belgavi Panthers – was also arrested last month and the team was handed a suspension thereafter. Bhavesh Bafna, a drummer who plays during Royal Challengers Bangalore’s IPL fixtures, was also taken into custody for his involvement in fixing.

Gadkari’s Sudden Flight To Nagpur As Time Runs Out In Maharashtra

0

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has canceled all his appointments and is flying to Nagpur, signaling a spurt of activity in the standoff between the BJP and its ally Shiv Sena with just a day to the deadline for government formation in Maharashtra.

Sources say Nitin Gadkari, a senior BJP leader of Maharashtra, will meet with Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the BJP’s ideological mentor.

Mr Gadkari confirmed his sudden flight and told the media he would “meet people” in Nagpur over the “current situation in Maharashtra”.

Mr Gadkari’s name has floated around as a possible compromise candidate for Chief Minister if that is what it takes to resolve the deadlock with the Shiv Sena. The Sena’s leadership is believed to be deeply upset with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who has rejected the party’s demand for sharing the top post on a rotational basis.

Mr Fadnavis’s meeting with Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday night is seen as significant in this context.

The Shiv Sena, which refers to Mr Fadnavis as “outgoing chief minister”, is not that strongly opposed to Mr Gadkari, a veteran Maharashtra leader. Mr Gadkari, who was a minister in an earlier BJP-Sena government in Maharashtra, was close to Sena founder Bal Thackeray and has reportedly maintained cordial ties with his son Uddhav Thackeray, the current chief.

Over the weekend, Sena leader Kishore Tiwari wrote to Mohan Bhagwat suggesting that Nitin Gadkari be asked to resolve the crisis.

The BJP and Shiv Sena won a clear majority in last month’s Maharashtra election, with 105 seats for the BJP and 56 for the Sena. But since the verdict on October 24, government formation has been stalled by the Sena’s demand for a “50:50” deal it says was discussed with BJP chief Amit Shah earlier this year, before the national elections.

With just 24 hours to form government, the Sena remains firm on its chief minister for half the term and an equal share in portfolios. The BJP has maintained that Devendra Fadnavis will continue as Chief Minister for a full term.
