With thousands of loyal supporters, the TDP leaders participated in the ‘Cycle Rally’ from Venkatapalem to the AP Secretariat in Velagapudi, which is 3kms away. The Cycle Rally was led by AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, with other cabinet ministers, and TDP ministers following him.

Speaking to the media before the commencement of the Cycle Rally, Chandrababu Naidu said, ‘we will continue our fight for the Special Category Status until we get. Every one of us should teach the Central government a befitting lesson in the upcoming elections. They have deceived us, cheated us, and now blaming us.The protests will further intensify in the coming days. The whole nation is looking at Andhra Pradesh. This is the time every one of us should stand united, and fight for the development of the state’.

IT Minister Lokesh also took part in the rally and condemned the Central government for not granting the Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh. He said, ‘under the able leadership of Chandrababu Naidu garu, we will bend the heads of the Centre, and will get the SCS to our state’.All the leaders who took part in the Cycle Rally wore black badges, as a sign of their protesting towards the Centre.

Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan’s Padayatra from Benz Circle to Ramavarappadu has been completed. He covered about 3kms during the Padayatra. CPI and CPM leaders also participated in the Padayatra. With Pawan Kalyan leading the march, thousands of Janasena supporter followed their leader.

The Padayatra began at 10:35 am in the morning, and finished at 11:30 am. All along the way, Pawan Kalyan was seen waving his hand to the huge crowds that turned up. The Padayatra from the Janasena Chief comes at a time when the TDP leaders started the day with Cycle Yatra from Venkatapalem to Velagapudi AP Secretariat.

Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan is all set to tour Vijayawada. He will be holding key meetings with Left Party leaders tomorrow and day after tomorrow in Vijayawada. The recent move from Pawan Kalyan comes at a time when AP politics dynamics are quickly changing.

With rumors surfacing that Pawan Kalyan will soon launch an indefinite hunger strike in Anantapur in few days, his Vijayawada tour has gained immense political attention and importance. He will be participating in key meetings with the Left Parties, CPI and CPM, on April 4th. Post the meeting, on April 5th he will also be launching a book titled ‘Yevari Rajadhaani Amaravati’. Currently, Janasena Party President Committees have been limited to East Godavari and Anantapur Districts. In this trip, Pawan Kalyan will be speaking to the party president committee leaders, and nominate for other districts too.

It will be interesting to see how far Pawan Kalyan can take this forward, given YS Jagan’s AP Special Category Status plan, that has been announced yesterday, and Chandrababu’s Delhi politics from today.

AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu left for Delhi last evening. Upon reaching the national capital he was welcomed by the TDP MPs who have been staying there for a quite a while. Post the formalities, the TDP MPs briefed Chandrababu about the atmosphere in Delhi political circles. It is during this meeting, Chandrababu discussed whether to meet the Congress leaders or not.

This topic has been the agenda during the TDP Legislative party, which was chaired by Chandrababu last evening in Delhi. During the meeting, many party senior leaders including, Somireddy advised Chandrababu to meet Congress party leaders. Given the fact that, Congress supported the no-confidence motion the TDP aimed to move in the Lok Sabha, the TDP leaders felt that it would be appropriate to meet the Congress party leaders, keeping the interests of Andhra Pradesh in mind.

At the same time, even few leaders suggested Chandrababu meet the TRS Party leaders, as TRS also extended its support.Post the meeting, Chandrababu Naidu spoke to the media. ‘I arrived here not as the president of TDP, but as a Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. This is a journey to secure our rights, and will go to any extent to make sure the state receives what all it has been promised,’ said Chandrababu.
