The 1962 Indo-China war not only exposed the Indian security forces ability but also established China as the new leader in the Asian continent (excluding Russia, which lies both in Europe and Asia). The tactical approach, and the failure to utilize Indian Navy by then Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, proved costly. Since then, China has been threatening the Indian nation along the northern borders.

The ‘Doklam standoff’ between India and China almost resulted in a war between the nations. The Indian Army Chief, General Bipin Rawat assured the nation that the Indian Army is prepared to counterattack on China if it takes an offensive step.

Addressing the nation, Rawat said, ‘the Chinese troops are trying to trespass along the northern borders of India. Chinese troops are patrolling along the sensitive regions, and the frequency is likely to increase after the winters. Our Indian army is prepared for counterattack if need be. It is time for us to shift our concentration towards China, from Pakistan. There is a high possibility of surgical strikes along the borders from China, and we are prepared for it’.

We need to strengthen our relations with our neighboring countries like Nepal, Myanmar, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. These nations will play a key role at the time of Ind-China war.

But the same police, are behaving like scavengers, feeding on innocent kids, for their sexual hunger.

A police constable reportedly raped a 7-year-old girl in Gautham Budh Nagar, Greater Noida on Wednesday evening. The accused was identified as 45-year-old Subhash Singh, who came on Sales Tax Department deputation and was living in a rented house. He lured the young girl by offering her Rs. 10 and inviting her into the house.

What more worst was, he raped the young girl in front the girl’s brother. As the girl began to cry, he fled the place. On hearing the girl’s cry, neighbors immediately rushed to place and admitted the girl to the hospital. Subhash Singh, just like his usual self, came back the next day, only to be trashed by the locals. He is handed over to the police, an investigation is underway.

The stage is set for the execution of an Indian NRI living in the US on February 23rd. Raghunandan Yandamuri, 32, was given death penalty for killing a 10-month-old baby, Sanvi and her 61-year-old grandmother, Sathyavathi in 2014. Raghunandan kidnapped the baby for ransom and later killed her.

Raghunandan, who is a native of Vishakhapatnam, completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and worked in the US on H-1B visa. He made friends with a young couple Veena Prasad Reddy and Latha, who were living in Pennsylvania, US. The couple belonged to Hanumanthupadu Village, Prakash district.

After killing Sanvi, and Sathyavathi cruelly, Raghunandan took part in the search for the missing baby and the grandmother. He planned the murder so carefully, leaving no clue for the investigation agencies. The police arrested him after a letter demanding the ransom, written by him was found. The Judicial high court in Pennsylvania had given the death penalty to Raghunandan for the heinous crime he has committed. The execution is likely to take place by injecting a series of injections, consisting of a sleep-inducer, and followed by a lethal injection, into the criminal’s body. The death would be painless, as the criminal will be losing his consciousness after the first injection.

But the chances of his execution are slim, given the rules set by the Governor of Pennsylvania, and the past history. The state has not seen any executions in the last 20 years.

Indian Space Research Organization has achieved an astonishing feat after it successfully launching the 42nd flight of PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle). This mission is marked as PSLV-C40, which soared into the skies carrying 31 satellites into outer space, of which 28 belonged to other nations, and 3 belonging to India. The launch took place at 0929 hours from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) or Sriharikota High Altitude Range (SHAR) rocket launch center. 

The 710 kg Cartosat-2F was the major payload on this flight. There were tense moments as the countdown neared for zero for the launch after the previous PSLV mission ended as a failure. Along with Cartosat-2F, a micro and a nanosatellite were put in space by ISRO. The Cartosat-2F marks the 100th satellite put by ISRO into outer space.

Cartosat-2F is the third in the Cartosat-2 series satellites. These satellites are primarily used as Earth Observation Satellite orbiting in the SSO (Sun Synchronous Orbit). The satellites house panchromatic and multispectral cameras, capable of producing images up to 1-meter resolution from an average altitude of 632km from outer space. These high-resolution images are used for Road Network monitoring, Urban and Rural planning, Utilization of Coast resources and for security purposes.The PSLV is the workhorse of the ISRO, standing over 145 feet tall, and weighing 2,20,000kgs. ISRO placed 104 satellites in a single launch last year.

Arjun was hailed for his all-around performance by the Australian media. He made his debut in Australia and represented Cricketer’s Club of India. Speaking to the media post the match, Arjun said, it is a privilege playing on the ground named after legendary cricketer Don Bradman.

While Sachin Tendulkar is a batsman, his son Arjun opted to be a pacer. ‘Right from my childhood, I had a passion for pace bowling. With time, I just got stronger (growing up), grew taller and I loved my bowling. There aren’t many fast bowlers in India. I thought I could be one’, said Arjun.

Sachin had a great impact on Arjun as a sportsman. Arjun said, ‘Play for yourself. Try to contribute as much as you can to your team, said Dad’.

Though the meeting was in the interest of PM Modi, the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu used it to full extent, in keeping the state’s problems ahead of politics. This meet was described as an ‘olive branch’ extension by PM Modi, who saw to strike an alliance with TDP once again in Andhra Pradesh. But the AP CM reportedly came up with a list of proposals and necessitated the need to fulfil them immediately. Following are the list of the proposal put forth by AP CM Chandrababu Naidu:

  1. Polavaram project to cost Rs. 58,000 crores. The completion of the project before 2019 will be Centre’s responsibility.
  2. Fulfil all commitments made in the AP Reorganization Act.
  3. The increase of assembly constituency seats from 175 to 225 in Andhra Pradesh.
  4. Allocation of funds in the upcoming national budget for AP Capital Construction.
  5. Bearing Revenue deficit, Dhungarajupatnam Port, and political issues.

Post the leaders meeting, JC Diwakar Reddy hinted that BJP and TDP are likely to form an alliance once again in Andhra Pradesh.

Not only did the YSRCP supremo request, but he also assured ‘financial assistance’ for election campaigning. 

Shockingly, Bharath who contested the 2014 elections from the same constituency, as YSRCP candidate, suffered defeat. When Jagan asked him to contest, Bharath reportedly rejected the proposal, citing financial reasons.

Though Bharath is not a famous or reputed leader, the young gun managed to bring YSRCP supremo to ground, and ensured that he receives financial assistance. On a whole, the whole episode is being described as ‘rise of new politics’ by political pundits.

YSRCP Chief YS Jagan’s media house, Saakshi has come up with this deplorable, wicket and irrational analysis for the failure of Agnyaathavaasi. Saakshi went up to the extent of picturizing TDP and Janasena as bad omens for Pawan Kalyan’s film career.

In its dreadful analysis, Saakshi pointed out that, after TDP came into governance, and Pawan Kalyan announced his party Janasena, his films have flopped at the box office. Surprisingly, films like Gopala Gopala, Sardar Gabbar Singh, Kaatamarayudu which were declared flop, released after Pawan announced his political entry. Though the facts are true, there mere coincidental and nothing more than that.

One can understand that Saakshi (and YS Jagan) is against TDP and Janasena, and rightly cited them as possible reasons or bad omens for the failure of Pawan Kalyan films. Possibly, no one in the world, except Saakshi and YS Jagan will ever have this kind of view. After all, it is media house made by the one, who is often touted as the most corrupted politician in the last decade.

He was awarded one point every time for travelling without a helmet, and 2 penalty points after he was caught in cell-phone driving.If Rushab Mahendra is found driving in the coming one year, he can be jailed for 1 month, said Hyderabad Traffic DCP AV Ranganath.

CWC Chief Engineer CKL Das said Kaleshwaram Project is the best irrigation project I have seen so far. ‘I have inspected many projects along the length and breadth of the nation. But I have never come across a project like this. Its multipurpose nature, the speed at which it is being constructed, is absolutely mind-boggling’.

Director of Hydrology, Nityanand Rai said, Kaleshwaram is the best project in the whole of India. The CWC inspection committee assured full co-operation from the Centre and called for a great working relationship on the project.‘The only thing to keep in mind is the upcoming rainy season, and the continuing the same speed of work until the completion of the project,’ said CKL Das.

More shockingly, the oil is being sold to roadside vendors who make junk foods, including snacks, and to fast food centres. This is not the first time such arrests took place in Hyderabad. Consuming foods prepared from these oils can lead to serious infections and diseases. In the past, few people complained about health problems, after consuming food at various meat-serving restaurants.The preparation of oil, burning and melting of the animal carcass and wastes makes the air toxic and noxious.

But shockingly, Thota Narasimha Rao, a Telugu Desam Party, TDP MP (Kakinada Constituency) took part in the banned blood-sport game. During the closing event of the ‘Janamabhoomi Maa Vooru’ program launched the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, the MP reportedly took part in the sport, by inducting his rooster into the field.

The news soon spread like a wildfire in the state. Many social activists condemned the MP’s behaviour as irresponsible and immature. ‘This kind of act by public representatives will have a great impact on the common people,’ said an activist.

Political analysts feel that this latest incident will likely damage TDP’s and CM’s reputation both at the state level and at the Centre, given the strict order of SC to ban the game.

Adoni Revenue Department officials have been carrying out excavations at the Chennampalli Fort, Kurnool district from the past few months. The state media and NGOs across the state alleged that the excavations are a part of a treasure hunt at the fort. The Chennampalli villagers believe that the fort is home to gold ornament (and coins), diamonds and other valuable stones, belonging to the Vijayanagar Empire.

Officials from the Adoni Revenue Department confirmed the discovery of Quartz, Red Chip and Granite in large deposits, in the fort premises, during the excavations. Elephant tusks, three-headed cobra-hood ornament, human remains and other animal remains have been found previously.

The officials stated that the recent discoveries that have a great economic potential, and deeper excavations are underway. The Adoni RDO officials informed the Mines and Geology Ministry on the same.

The villagers are hoping, the discoveries of valuable resources could bring some fortune to their village, Chennampalli, in the form of infrastructural development. Politicians and big shots, in the Kurnool district, are already eyeing on the Chennampalli fort. The villagers are also deeply involved in excavation, at a small scale, in an effort to find gold, diamonds and precious stones.

Today, the search engine giant ‘Google’ has designed its doodle after the great Indian scientist Har Gobind Khorana, who was awarded Noble Prize in Physiology or Medicine, for decoding the Human Genetic Code along with Robert W Holley and Marshall W Nirenberg.

Khorana was born in a small village, having a population of fewer than 100 residents, in Raipur on January 9th, 1922. He was one among the five children and the only one who was practically the only literate one in his whole family. With constant support in the form of scholarships and grants, Khorana completed graduated from Punjab University in Lahore with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in 1943 and 1945 respectively. He completed his Ph.D. from University of Liverpool, the UK in 1948 after with the support of Indian government.

It was during Khorana’s time in the US, while he was working at the University of Wisconsin, Khorana and his team made the astonishing breakthrough that fetched the prestigious Nobel Prize in Medicine. Khorana’s team was able to decipher (decode) the human genetic code, and its function in protein synthesis. He is also known for the construction of the first artificial gene, which he got to function in a bacterial cell. Khorana opted for the US citizenship in 1966. He received servaralawards and accolades through out his life. Khorana is survived by his three children at the time of his death on November 9th, 2011.

Prior to the 2014 AP Assembly elections, many political leaders approached YS Jagan to contest in the elections. Few leaders even left TDP, hoping that YS Jagan would grant them a ticket. But shockingly, Jagan ignored many prominent leaders prior to the 2014 elections. Things do change with time, and at times go against us too. Things are far different, with YSRCP busy in its 2019 elections preparation. Even though YSRCP is ready to offer seats, there is no one willing to contest on behalf of the party.

Jagan tried desperately to rope-in Bharath, YSRCP In-charge (Parchur constituency) from Prakasam district. Shockingly, Bharath declined the offer. He is the second YSRCP leader to reject the party’s ticket, after former MLA Buchepalli Siva Prasad Reddy. Taken back by Bharath’s decision, Jagan tried to convince Bharath’s mother Padmavathi and sister Lakshmi.

After a brief hour of discussion with the two, YS Jagan asked Padmavathi and Lakshmi to convince Bharath to contest on behalf of YSRCP. Insider sources claimed that Jagan has promised financial assistance for the election campaigning after Bharath’s mother stated that they cannot afford.

Meanwhile, local political leaders opinionated that YS Jagan fell into Bharat’s trap. If Bharath wins, he will become MLA, and even if he loses, he will still be financially sound. The young politician clearly trapped YS Jagan.

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued a statement which confirmed that the Trump administration is going to end H1-B Visa extension. This feared many as it can affect up to 7.5 lakh Indian Techies in the US and even their families could be deported if the bill gets passed.

US Authorities on Tuesday assured Trump administration is not going to move any proposal that forces H-1B visa holders to leave the US much to the respite of Indian Techies. An official informed USCIS isn’t considering a regulatory change that would force H-1B visa holders to leave the nation. This means, there is no issue with extending H-1B visas for a six-year period. Even if there comes any such new law, employers could seek extensions in one-year increments as per section 106(a)-(b) of AC21.

On an average of about 65,000 H-1B visas get issued every year in the general category and another 20,000 visas for applicants wishing to have higher education such as Masters in US Universities. H-1B visa program lets companies hire highly skilled foreign professionals. Trump’s “Buy American, Hire American” campaign has definitely increased insecurities among Indians residing in the US.

Yusuf Pathan caught using ‘Drugs’ suspended

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended Indian cricket all-rounder Yusuf Pathan for five months on the grounds of a doping violation. An official statement has been issued stating that the All-Rounder had involuntarily ingested a prohibited substance which was found in cough syrups.

Earlier as well, the BCCI ordered the Baroda Cricket Association not to select him for the recently concluded Ranji Trophy giving the same reasons.

Last year, On March 16th, Yusuf had submitted his urine samples as part of BCCI’s anti-doping test program during a Domestic T20 match. He alleged to have taken the medication containing Terbutaline which was mistakenly prescribed to him. BCCI was satisfied with the explanation given and decided to end the suspension as soon as possible.

Suspension of Yusuf Pathan has been continuing since August 15th last year. The five-month Ban will end on January 14th, 2018 which means that the all-rounder will be available for Indian Premier League 11th edition.

Despite the incident happened like last year August, the information came out about his suspension only recently. Hopefully, this time the cricketer would be more careful about his intake of medications.
