He stopped the vehicle only after driving it for few meters and fled from the spot. The police said, search for the driver is going on and no arrests have made so far. The girl is undergoing treatment and is in the process of recovery.

It is evident that with ever-growing traffic concerns and irresponsible commuters, pedestrians are afraid to come out. Instead of serving the ‘Netas’ maybe it’s time for police to be responsible towards the general public. One has to realize that CCTV’s are there to record the happenings and not to be perceived as an alternative to the police. There should be continuous police patrolling in all corners of the city.

Mamatha Banerjee becomes a victim of her own plans!

West Bengal Chief Minister, All India Trinamool Congress party chief, Mamata Banerjee scored a self-goal in Supreme Court. The Apex court has dismissed the plea of Mamatha stating that ‘States cannot challenge a law passed by the parliament’. The judgment comes as a shocker to Mamatha, who challenged the Modi Sarkar at the center to do what all they can after refusing to link her mobile number to Aadhar.

Mamatha Banerjee has been opposing the center every time and again. On a similar note, she got a case filed through her legal counsel, Former Central Minister Kapil Sibal on behalf of the state of West Bengal. On this accord, after hearing the arguments put forth by Kapil Sibal, the Supreme Court responded to it by putting forth a question, ‘how could a state file a petition against a law that is brought into practice by the parliament? Referring to this, do give an explanation in the given time frame‘

The Apex court also stated that ‘Mamatha Banerjee can file a petition as the citizen of India over any law passed by the parliament. But a state cannot.’ The court also accepted another petition pertaining to the same subject.

The center was also served notices by the Supreme Court asking it to explain the ‘need to link mobile number with Aadhar card’ within four weeks.

The secret behind Revanth Reddy’s prominence in Delhi revealed!

‘We have been seeking Rahul Ji’s appointment for the past 3 months! No use!’ These are the words spoken by a senior minister who spent over 3 months sitting in New Delhi in order to seek an appointment with Rahul Gandhi. While, Revanth Reddy, the former TDP leader, got Rahul Gandhi’s appointment immediately. This shocked everyone both at central and state level! Everyone was eager to know why Rahul Gandhi had given such prominence for Revanth Reddy, who is not even a part of the Congress Party yet!

People assumed it was Jai Pal Reddy, who happens to be an uncle of Revanth Reddy behind all this. But, close sources have confirmed that the ‘Rebel’ nature and ability to ‘lash out without any fear or apprehension’ created that prominence for Revanth Reddy at the center. That very nature of Revanth has caught the attention of Koppula Raju, advisor of Rahul Gandhi. In the past, Raju did make several attempts in talking to leaders on how to strengthen Congress in Telangana. But most of them were either a part of group politics or relied heavily on the party.

Koppula Raju felt that a person like Revanth Reddy only can withstand against KCR and TRS in Telangana. It is also learned that the Congress High Command will welcome Revanth Reddy into the party by assigning him a key role.

Babu’s ‘3 Weapons’ to Crush YS Jagan!

Politics have become more entertaining than any reality show or program. Political parties are already busy in drafting and implementing strategies for 2019 elections. Meanwhile, YS Jagan is about to start his election campaign with ‘Paadhayathra’. Out of 175 Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh, Jagan would cover 125 by foot, and the rest 50 by a bus. This clearly shows how desperate he is to win the elections.

If Jagan’s Padayathra becomes a success, Babu would face a similar situation that he faced in the hands of Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, former CM of Andhra Pradesh who lead Congress in 2004 and 2009 assembly elections successfully. On this account, Chandrababu has already laid plans to crush YS Jagan and his Paadhayathra. Following are the strategies TDP would be executing:

  1. Extending the Winter Sessions, after Jagan YSRCP wouldn’t take part until the ‘hopped’ Ministers are suspended. Everyone knows TDP would never do that.
  2. Conducting Municipal Elections. One has to wait and see how far Jagan would lose his focus on his Paadhayathra in order to guide the party in the local election.
  3. Finally, ‘Operation Aakarsh’. This operation has proved successful for TDP after it managed to pull key leaders from YSRCP into their party. While Jagan is on his Paadhayathra to regain the lost glory, Babu would be busy executing his Operation Aakarsh.

Triangular love story: Indian Army – Alexander Army – Greeks

Triangular love story: Indian Army – Alexander Army – Greeks

The title of the article might sound funny, irritating and amused. Even I would feel the same if I wasn’t the author. What is the triangular love story about? It’s definitely not a story like Mohenjo Daro directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, nor a Baahubali from Rajamouli or the future 2.0 from Shankar. It’s a true story (if believed) that time has hidden from everyone. It’s a tale of wonders and amusements. It’s a dream that can never be dreamt!

Would any of you believe if I ever told, ‘the person who saved Ladakh in the 1948 Kashmir war is descendent of Greek? And the first Commander-in-Chief of India is also a Greek descendant. If you are prepared to read this unravelling story, ensure you are a believer of facts and faith and not history that has been changing overtimes!

Let’s take our story into ‘Alexander’ times. Alexander III of Macedon is popularly known as ‘Alexander the Great’. His legacy has extended far beyond his military victories and capabilities. His name is carried over 2 millenniums and into the 3rd one. He has established several trade routes between the East and Europe, while brought the Greece culture and popularized it in the Asian continent.

alexander army greeks served indian army clear details

After the ‘Siege of the Sogdian Rock’ in 327 BC killing Spitamenes, and his marriage to Roxana, Alexander turned towards the Indian Subcontinent. With support from the King Ambhi (also referred as Omphis), Alexander did manage to defeat the Porus, King of Pauravas in an epic battle, and conquered his empire that spanned between the regions of Chenab and Jhelum rivers.

After being impressed by Porus, he appointed him as satrap (governor) and mediated between him and his long-time enemy Ambhi. While Alexander wanted to cross the river Ganges and barge into the Nanda Empire of Magadha, he was advised not to do so by Porus. Alexander was informed that:

“The width of the mighty Ganges is about 32 furlongs (6.44km) having a depth of about 100 fathoms (600 feet). 80,000 horseman; 200,000 footmen; 8,000 chariots; 6,000 war elephants and a multitude of armed men are waiting along the banks of the river”

With a mere army of 20,000 infantry and 2,000 horses, Alexander knew it wouldn’t be possible to defeat the mighty Nanda Empire of Magadha. And incidentally, the army refused to march ahead to cross the Ganges. The Army General, Coenus pleaded Alexander to change his opinion and return back to Macedonia. He further stated, ‘the men would like to see their family, wives, and children. They are tired. They want to go back to their Homeland’. Alexander eventually agreed and marched south along Indus.

alexander army greeks served indian army clear detailsWith traumatic events taking place within Alexander’s army and generals, few soldiers decided to stay back in a fear that they would be put to mass killing on the way to Macedonia. These soldiers over millenniums gradually moved towards the south, where they are known to have finally settled. Coorg in Karnataka is often identified where most of the Greek soldiers have settled, and coincidentally, the first two Army Generals of Republic India are from this region. There are many notable personalities from Coorg who served Indian Forces at the highest level.

Despite being of the Greek descendent (or thought to be), most of the people in Coorg (or Kodagu district) follow Hindutva and celebrate all the festivals with glory and joy. With lush green hills, and coffee plantations the scenic beauty of Coorg is nothing short of a great visual feast. Women hold the highest authority in the house and are respected with utmost dignity and humility. They have a high degree of self-respect and go to any extent to live up to a promise made.

It is heard that many families living Coorg dreaming of sending at least one child from their family to serve the Indian Armed Forces. They take it as a pride and instil the same in the children’s mind right from a very young age. Though many Histories and Theorizers oppose the theory that Coorg has a considerable number of Greek Descendants, their living patterns, culture, unmatched bravery surely remind the Greek culture. Their homes are often decorated with armour, artillery, swords and other war-related particulars.

While linguists claim that, the Kodava language spoken by the people of Coorg is related to the Dravidian origin, they fail to explain the fact that, how few Greek letters and pronunciations became a part of their current day generation.

The list of (few) notable personalities from Coorg and their contributions towards Indian Army:

  1. Field Marshal K M Cariappa (28th January 1899 to 15th May 1993)

Many other notable persons did grace the international and national stage from Coorg.

It’s really fascinating to know how the planned invasion of Indian Subcontinent by Alexander, ended with Greeks settling down in Coorg, which indeed served the Indian Armed forces. As an author, I did go through a lot of information before writing this article and it propelled me even learn more about the Indian Army Chiefs and Marshalls. While you enjoy reading this, I shall be enjoying finding more these great personalities!

North Korea busy in preparations for war with the US!

If the reports coming in are true, the war between North Korea and the United States is unavoidable. Often referred as the ‘rogue nation’ by its western counterparts, North Korea is evacuating the people living in the coastal regions. The NK officials stopped electricity supply to cities during nights. ‘This is done to prevent them from becoming easy targets at night,’ said an official source.

With the preparations for war in full swing, the citizens of North Korea are suffering greatly. The state-run media also published an article stating that ‘The Supreme leader and the officials are clear about the upcoming war. The locations from where the attacks have to be carried out are already planned and the war equipment has already reached its respective locations through the nation.’

South Korea, a close ally of the United States, is terrified than ever. The local press and media stated that ‘NK has never made war preparation on this scale before. It is raising the alarm of a possible nuclear war.’

While, North Korea has justified its actions, and warned that, if the US to plans to remove the Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, we would retaliate with an out-and-out nuclear war.

IPS Officer Wife practices. Everyone else is banned to enter the stadium.

Our nation truly deserved the tag, ‘Incredible India’, on all facets. Recently, an IPS cadre officer in Bengaluru decided to use his power. IPS officer Anupam Agarwal, currently the Director of Kanteerava Stadium banned everyone from entering the stadium, as his wife is practicing. This public servant, who is bound to serve the public, rather choose to put them to suffering.

Even national-level athletes who regularly visit the sports complex have not been allowed inside. All because the officer’s wife is practicing in the stadium. ‘We were stranded in front of the gate for a long time and were informed that we wouldn’t be allowed inside the stadium. With no option left, we all were forced to go to Cubbon Park for practice,’ said a national-level athlete.

Astonishingly, this IPS Officer has also advised all the nearby police stations not to register any complaint if someone comes to report the incident.

Reacting to this, Youth Services Department and Animal husbandry minister, Pramodh Madhvaraj from Congress lashed at the IPS officer. Talking to media in Kalaburigi, Karnataka the Congress Minister said, ‘the stadium is not government’s property, nor the property of Anupam Agarwal. It’s the property of the citizen of this state. A thorough inquiry should be laid and the public servant should be rightly impeached’.

With ‘Revanth Reddy + 30’ episode, End of TDP in Telangana is inevitable

Everyone thought that Revanth Reddy would be a sore victim by walking out of the party. But with 30 leaders walking out? Now it’s the role of Telangana Telugu Desam Party to be in a state of shock.

‘If one walks out, the team is one member less. But if half the team walks out? There will not exist any Team’. This line clearly points the current situation in the Telangana TDP unit. The senior leaders who were happy with the walk out of Revanth Reddy, are now on the radar of Chandrababu. After Revanth’s exit from the party, nearly 30 TDP leaders who followed him, are expected to join him in Congress.

Many political analysts did warn about a similar situation. But no one even in their wildest dreams thought about a huge migration like this. Revanth Reddy has visited Hyderabad today, the first time after his resignation.

It is learnedthatRevanth Reddy will be a part of special prayers in Peddhamma Thalli Temple on Monday. Later in the evening, he would be discussing the future plans with his followers in Jalavihar, Hyderabad.

A meeting is scheduled for 31st October in Congress Party office, New Delhi to discuss the recent developments in Telangana. It also looks like the ‘beginning of the end’ for TDP in Telangana has started!

‘Hang my Son-in-Law’, says Priya Mehta’s Mother

The recent shooting episode in New Delhi has cause high tensions. In the wake of this incident, the police officials carried out an investigation. And it was learned that Pankaj Mehta killed his wife Priya Mehta and tried to fabricate a ‘story’ about her killing. The recent news is that the mother of Priya Mehta has vent out her agony and anguish, and demanded to hang Pankaj Mehta without any further investigations and formalities.

‘Priya and Pankaj loved each other. The marriage also went ahead without any issue. Families on both sides were very happy for the couple. How could he do this to Priya? How could he kill her so cruelly? This is unacceptable for us, and we are not able to come to terms that Priya is not with us anymore,’ stated Pankaj’s father.

‘During the investigation, Pankaj accepted the crime. To escape from clearing a debt he has killed Priya. He wanted to fabricate as if the money lender has planned for the shooting, and make him guilty in the eyes of law’ stated a police official.

Few sources are also quoting that, ‘Pankaj is currently having an intimate relationship with a Singer who is working with a restaurant. In order to continue with the second woman in his life, Pankaj wanted to eliminate Priya. Hence he has planned for the shooting, which would not only eliminate Priya but also relieve him from paying his debt.’

The Political Ekalavya, Revanth Reddy.

The Political Ekalavya, Revanth Reddy.

The article’s title might seem too exaggerated, but surely it’s not. In an era, where power and money dictate the fate of a politician, Revanth Reddy seemed to hail above them. If one can ignore his controversies for a while, he is nothing short of Ekalavya, who offered his right thumb as ‘guru dakshana’ to Dronacharya.

After he was humiliated, cornered and tainted by a few in TDP, he left the party in a most shocking manner. Post that, Revanth never spoke a word against Chandrababu or the Party. His mention about Chandrababu’s help and his tight-lipped nature over the happenings will have a constructive impact in his political career.

With Congress positive about establishing itself in Telangana, it is heard that Revanth Reddy is looking to create a progressive environment between TDP and Congress for the upcoming 2019 elections. If this happens, and TDP-Congress work together and manage to form a government in AP, the move could well shake the national politics.

With ever rising intolerance against BJP from all corners of the nation, Congress is working with all regional parties across all the states to create a ‘Non-BJP/NDA government’ at the state level.

If Congress manages to lead a coalition government in 2019 supported by regional parties and individual MPs, Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently facing repeated humiliation from Modi and BJP, will surely be respected at 10, Janpath, New Delhi more than ever. Even the dream of ‘Special Status’ to Andhra Pradesh might be a reality.

Jagan overlooks Janasena!

Jagan overlooks Janasena!

‘Fool Me once, shame on you; Fool me twice, shame on me’ suits YSRCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Even after facing a defeat in the 2014 Andhra Pradesh State Assembly election, Jagan still looks like he hasn’t learned his lesson.

It was reported that Jagan would sweep 2014 AP Assembly elections, and for most of the time, everything seemed to be true. It was only until the last few months before the elections. Just like a cricket test match, where one brilliant session changes the match, the same happened in 2014 elections. While everything was seemed in favor of YS Jagan, with Pawan Kalyan’s entry, the tables have changed. Within a month, Jagan’s win became impossible. And rightly so, he did lose.

In a recent media gathering organized in seeking support for his Padayatra, Jagan’s answer shocked everyone there. When a journalist asked, ‘Sir, what are your strategies to counter Pawan’s Janasena in upcoming assembly elections?’ the YSRCP President replied, ‘the fight is between YSRCP and TDP. Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena isn’t even in the picture. People don’t consider Janasena as a contender in the elections.’

While the analysts almost choked hearing this, it looks like again hasn’t learned his lesson yet. He is bound to pay a hefty price if he doesn’t realize it soon.

Woman doesn’t need man’s consent to abort her child: Supreme Court of India

The Apex Court has ruled that an adult woman had an unimpeachable right to give birth or abort the pregnancy. A man’s plea before the Punjab and Haryana High court was dismissed. The High court said, keeping in view of the marital position of the couple, the decision to terminate the unwanted fetus was right, it is not the termination that soured the relationship between the two.

Under the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, the court maintained, there was no need to express or implied consent from the husband. It is the sole prerogative of the woman to abort or keep the child. The bench headed by Chief Justice of India, Dipak Misra said, that even a mentally challenged woman has the right to terminate the pregnancy. In this particular case, she is a mother and an adult and no one can accuse or count her to be liable.
