Galaxy S11’s 5x zoom camera may have optical image stabilization

0

If the Galaxy S11 rumors are anything to go by, it’s going to get some major improvements in the camera department. The Galaxy S11 is expected to be the first smartphone from Samsung to offer a 5x optical zoom capability.

Samsung’s existing conventional 2x telephoto optical zoom lens has optical image stabilization or OIS. Naturally, many are wondering if the 5x telephoto solution expected for the Galaxy S11 will have it too. That’s because it’s telephoto solution will be fundamentally different from what’s being used currently.

The company is expected to go with a periscope camera module for the Galaxy S11. To allow for 5x optical zoom on the device without the module protruding from the back, the sensor and lenses arranged sideways and the principle of reflecting light in a periscope is utilized. This method allows for a longer telephoto lens to sit flush with the body of a slim smartphone.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics has been making camera modules since 2003. It recently announced the mass production of a 5x optical zoom camera. What the company didn’t say at the time is whether it features OIS as well. Since this module hasn’t been used in a smartphone so far, that’s not something known to the public just yet. It may ostensibly be the module used for the Galaxy S11.

However, we have discovered a patent application that Samsung Electro-Mechanics filed this week with the Korean Intellectual Property Office. The patent is for a periscope camera module with optical image stabilization. It further emphasizes handshake correction which is what OIS makes possible. It offers some detail about how the OIS module within the periscope camera would work to reduce motion blur.

India aim series white wash In D/N test against Bangladesh

0

Day-Night Test is finally in India, and Sourav Ganguly & Co. have spared no expense or idea to create a stirring buzz. There’s been instant gratification for all the efforts too, in the form of rapid ticket sales that has seen the first four days of the Test being sold out already.

November 2013 was also evidence that Eden and Kolkata are never shy of a celebration. Sachin Tendulkar arrived for his 199th Test match with his cut-outs all over the city, stepped off the team bus to a confetti shower and walked into the stadium with songs about him playing out loud. His face was emblemized on one side of the toss coin too. That was peak Kolkata at its celebratory best, where the lines between indulgence and overindulgence were blurred.

And then there is now. A city is happy to embrace the pink – as seen from the Howrah bridge and a few prominent buildings near the stadium – while the teams themselves are yet to fully grasp the functionalities of the new color of the ball. As late as the eve of the fixture, Virat Kohli admitted there were still grey areas concerning how the ball would behave under different circumstances and how much of a challenge it was going to be.

The quick turnaround time between the newly-appointed BCCI president Sourav Ganguly suggesting the need to play a Day-Night fixture and the board hosting one was surprisingly short, given India’s reluctance to play it in Australia in late 2018. But Kohli had a defense to offer, believing it’s the sort of a concept that first needs to be trialled at home before the team can take the plunge on away shores.

So that trial is here, to make way for a future where India will approve of such challenges more often, and not just in their backyard. And beyond all the fanfare in Kolkata and the fact that both teams will begin with a blank slate in the face of something they’ve not experienced before, India is still primed to pocket all 60 points on offer.

Kuldeep Yadav has been in the midst of a lot of pink-ball practice – including during session breaks in Indore – but it is unlikely that India will tamper with the line-up that wrapped up the first Test in two and a half days.

Bringing in Al-Amin Hossain or Mustafizur Rahman for Mohammad Mithun could be a good move considering the quicks are going to be ones making headlines in this pink-ball Test. Benching Mithun will also allow Bangladesh to play senior batsman Mushfiqur Rahim at No.4, which has been mulled over since the Indore Test.

Kohli To Lead India’s T20I, ODI Squads vs WI, Shami, Bhuvi Return

0

Virat Kohli returned to India’s T20I side as the selectors announced limited-overs squads for the upcoming series against the West Indies on Thursday. Fast bowlers Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar also returned to the T20I as well as ODI squads.

The leg-spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav also feature in both the squads. While Chahal was part of the last T20I series that India played against Bangladesh, china-man Kuldeep Yadav will be making a comeback into the limited-overs side.

Shivam Dube, who made his T20I debut in the last series against Bangladesh, has retained his place in the shortest format and also earned his maiden call-up to the ODI set-up.

Kedar Jadhav who was not part of India’s last couple of series has also returned to the 15-man ODI squad.

Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja also made a comeback into both the squads as Krunal Pandya was left out after he failed in the last two series. Shreyas Iyer and Manish Pandey have also been included in both the squads.

KL Rahul who was dropped from the ODI series against South Africa has received a comeback call from the selectors, and he also managed to retain his spot in the T20I squad.

Deepak Chahar is the only fast bowler who played T20Is against Bangladesh to have retained his spot in the shortest format. Chahar retained his place after he produced the best-ever T20I figures in men’s cricket in the final T20I against Bangladesh which helped India clinch the series 2-1. Khaleel Ahmed and Shardul Thakur who were part of India’s last T20I series have not been included in the squad.

T20I Squad: Virat Kohli (capt), Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant (wk), Manish Pandey, Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Deepak Chahar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami.

Aus captain Tim Paine continues hilarious sledging against Pakistan

0

Tim Paine, the Australian Test skipper, does not shy away from chattering from behind the stumps and he was at it again on the opening day of the first Test against Pakistan at the Gabba on Thursday. From his “babysitting” banter with Rishabh Pant to vowing to support Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League in return of Rohit Sharma’s six, Paine has time and again proved that there is hardly anyone better than him when it comes to hilarious comments. On Thursday, Paine tried to get in the ear of another wicketkeeper is Mohammad Rizwan.

Pumped up after the hosts claimed five wickets for 19 runs to have Pakistan reeling at 5/94, Paine dropped another comical sledge to start the Australian summer.
“Sarfaraz would have already hit him four, Gazza,” Paine was caught on stump mic saying to Marnus Labuschagne, stationed at short leg after Rizwan blocked a shot off Nathan Lyon.
“Sweep shot, bang, four.
“Smells good though, smells very nice.”

https://twitter.com/cricketcomau/status/1197371673936183296?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1197371673936183296&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fsports.ndtv.com%2Fcricket%2Faustralia-vs-pakistan-tim-paine-proves-hes-king-of-sledging-with-smells-nice-comment-watch-2136345

Rizwan eventually fell controversially as Pat Cummins appeared to have overstepped, only for the TV umpire to give the benefit of the doubt to the bowler.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat but the visitors were bowled out for 240 just before stumps in Brisbane.

Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins tore through the Pakistan batting order to put the hosts in charge at the close of play.

Pakistan openers Shan Masood and Azhar Ali had frustrated the Australian pace attack in the first session but the hosts seized the initiative after lunch when they took five wickets for just 19 runs, reducing Pakistan from 75/0 to 94/5.

Facebook’s Libra launch was ‘extremely stupid,’ blockchain chief says

0

Facebook’s unveiling of its intended Libra cryptocurrency this season was “extremely stupid,” according to the chief of an organization building its blockchain ecosystem.

“The idea they operated it out … it was merely so in your face,” R3 CEO David Rutter said at a recent organization meeting, according to Financial News. “There’s a shortage of perception.”

Facebook minimized the complexity of creating a cryptocurrency ecosystem, Rutter stated, according to Financial News. For instance, the social-media titan recommended underpinning Libra including a weighted measure of currencies, but altering digital coins back into various currencies is “not easy,” he said. “It’s naïve.”

R3, which was organized as a consortium of top-tier groups, is striving with more than 300 associates to create an open-source blockchain program called Corda, as well as a compensated variant for markets.

Libra has attracted sharp investigation from government indexes, assisting launch associates including Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal to step back their assistance. Lawmakers have interrogated Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and other officials on whether they can be assumed to shield users’ isolation, manage vast quantities of financial data, and other subjects.

He said all measures are being taken to ensure the safety of the dam and the allegations made by the opposition and some media outlets for neglecting the management of the projects are untrue. Minister Anil Kumar Yadav appealed to the public not to panic over the rumors spread by opposition.

Irrigation Minister Anil Kumar Yadav said there is no threat to the Srisailam project and dam safety.

Earlier, Rajendra Singh warned that the dam is in danger due to severe hydraulic pressure and said that the speed of water is high as a result, the dam walls have cracks. Rajendra Singh alleged that governments are not taking responsibilities to maintain the projects other than building projects on rivers. The government should focus on the maintenance of the dam constructed near waterways.

Thousands of deaths on the island .. Is it the devil? Humans?

0

The survivor returned to the island. The history of the island deals with the KGF movie. This is the story behind the island, which has become desolate overnight.

Highlight

The island’s name is Hashima Island. The most visited area in Japan.
The island is also known as Battleship Island.
The government does not allow people to go to the area alone.
Tourist operator is given conditional permission only to travel in groups.

No one lives on the island that was once known as the world’s most populous island. There is trepidation. The buildings on the island have reached the point of collapse. What’s more, those who enter the island hear strange sounds and shouts. What shapes are witnessing. What happened to the island? The area that was once crowded with the population has now become desolate.

The island’s name is Hashima Island. The most visited area in Japan. The island can be reached by an hour’s drive from Nagasaki. Known as the Ghost Town, the island is also known as Guankajima. The island is also known as Battleship Island. The government does not allow people to go to the area alone. Tourist operator is given conditional permission only to travel in groups. These are not conditions on the island. The sea around the island is also quite majestic. The weather is favorable for visiting the island for only a few hundred days a year. However, there is no guarantee that the sea will cooperate even in those days. Tour cancels each time. If you look into the history behind the island.

The KGBF Horror Version: The story of a bully size behind the island is hidden. Mines are rare on islands that are usually in the middle of the sea. Hashima Island is one of those rare islands. Mitsubishi Corporation bought the island in 1890 and started mining, as there are plenty of coal resources here. From 1895 to 1898, the island was mined to a depth of 199 meters. The company later moved the island to the island to hire miners for mining purposes. About three thousand people reached the island. For them, the company built and accommodated buildings in the form of apartments. The mercenaries lived a miserable life with only one room for the family in those buildings. Almost all of them experienced prison life.

In 1959 the population reached 5,259. The island has a size of 12 football fields and has about 30 concrete buildings. There were retail stores, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, school, hospital, library, gym, hairdresser, movie theater, temples, swimming pool facilities. However, they are now in ruins.

Of the 41,000 prisoners of war detained by Japan during World War II, 3,765 were moved here. Forced miners to work with them. They were not even fed. Bullies if not working. This has changed all week. Most of the survivors were in those mines.

According to San Jugwa, a coolie who escaped from the island, they saw him as a slave and moved to work from the age of 14. After the end of the war, 1,442 Korean workers and 722 Chinese workers were tortured to death. Jugwa claimed that the mercenaries jumped into the sea to escape the island, survived it, and in the meantime committed suicide.

Isn’t hell: it’s better to say hell than to say island. Because the place is not enough to bury the dead miners and prisoners of war. A crematorium was set up to burn the corpses. There are tens of thousands of corpses burning daily. If there were everlasting smoke coming out of the furnace, we could understand the extent of the deaths. However, after the atomic bombing in Nagasaki in 1945, hostages and prisoners of war were freed.

The real story is now: The island, which has provided Japan with an enormous income, is also expected to play a key role. But then, Sean reversed there. After the mining ceased, there was no employment for the people. More than half the people evacuated the island on a ship overnight. The people who left the area and remained there were horrified.

The objects were moving in their homes, and there were noises in the night. What shapes move in front of the eyes. So they left the island. They also left the goods they had earned. No one has landed on the island since then. Those who went alone never returned. Only journalists visit the island with security officers. However, as the tourist is keen to see the island, the government gives conditional permission.

The same terrifying feeling: some claim that the devil killed those who went to the island alone, while others believe that they were drowned in the sea. However, it is still a mystery what happened all week. Tourists visiting the island are in a state of ruin. That silent diva

George Reddy Censor report, lengthy run time is not an Issue

0

George Reddy is an upcoming biopic that is being made on the life of the renowned student leader from the Osmania University. According to the latest update, the movie George Reddy has completed the censor formalities and it was granted a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certificate (CBFC) after few suggested modifications.

As George Reddy has completed the censor formalities, it is gearing up for grand release on 22nd November. The film, George Reddy starring Sandeep Madhav and Satyadev Kancharana in the lead. According to the latest update, George Reddy has runtime of 2 hours, 55 minutes and 5 seconds.

As per the censor certificate, Run time of George Reddy is locked to 175 minutes, a bit lengthy indeed. It is known news that NTR Kathanayakudu had 170 minutes run time, which was rejected by the movie lovers on its opening day but Sukumar’s directorial venture Rangasthalam starring Ram Charan & Samantha Akkineni had 180 minutes runtime, which was a blockbuster at the box office. Koratala Shiva’s directorial venture Bharat Ane Nenu starring Mahesh Babu and Kiara Advani had 173 minutes, which was also blockbuster at the box office. The run time of George Reddy shouldn’t be a worrying factor. It is always the film’s actual content that has been a problem. Recently released trailer of the film has already generated good buzz. Pawan Kalyan has also showered the praises for the trailer. The expectations are very high.

George Reddy is all about the story of a student leader George who fought for the rights of underprivileged students and became a hero of sorts between 1965 and 1975.

Google, Facebook Are Human Rights Abusers, States Amnesty International

0

Amnesty International issued a scathing indictment of the world’s dominant internet corporations, arguing in a new report that Google and Facebook should be forced to abandon what it calls their surveillance-based business model because it is “predicated on human rights abuse.”

The London-based global rights group said in the 60-page report published Thursday that the business model of what it calls the “Surveillance Giants” is “inherently incompatible with the right to secrecy.”

The report said the company’s practice of vacuuming up personal data to feed voracious advertising businesses represents an unprecedented assault on privacy rights. It says the companies force people to make a “Faustian bargain” to share their data to access Google and Facebook services that have grown to dominate the global public square.

“This ubiquitous surveillance has undermined the very essence of the right to privacy,” the report said, adding that the companies’ “use of algorithmic systems to create and infer detailed profiles on people interferes with our ability to shape our own identities within a private sphere.”

Amnesty called on governments to legally guarantee people’s right not to be tracked by advertisers or other third parties. It called current regulations — and the companies’ privacy-shielding measures — inadequate.

In a written five-page response published with the report, Facebook disagreed with its conclusion that the company’s business practices “are inconsistent with human rights principles.”

Steve Satterfield, Facebook’s public policy director, also disputed that the social media behemoth’s business model is “surveillance-based” and noted that users sign up voluntarily for the service, which is nominally free although data collected is used to sell ads.

“A person’s choice to use Facebook’s services, and the way we collect, receive or use data — all disclosed and acknowledged by users — cannot meaningfully be likened to the involuntary government monitoring” expressed in international human rights law, the report states.

Google did not offer an on-the-record response to the report but disputed its findings. Amnesty said the company provided input and publicly available documents.

Samsung Galaxy S11 may have 120 Hz display

0

On Twitter, @UniverseIce posted images of the concealed menu from a Chinese version of Beta 2.0 – which was just strewed to Galaxy Note9 users more limited than a day ago. The menu was found on the Chinese version of the beta.

The menu includes three choices for how it will utilize the 120 Hz trait. One retains the display 60 HZ another will perpetually retain it at 120 Hz, and the newest one changes on the 120 Hz hallmark and automatically turns back and forth from 60 Hz.
A 120 Hz screen can turn fluid feel to improve the UX. The downside is the further power draw required to drive all those frames.

The Galaxy S11 is presumed to deliver Night Hyperlapse, thinner bezels, director’s representation, and Samsung strategy to manage the SAMOLED branding for the forthcoming screen. The Galaxy S11 was also guaranteed to attain with a 3,720 mAh battery. It’s also assumed to arrive in three sizes and five models including 5G ones.

Soups Can Save You From Malaria, Says Study

0

Malaria is a mosquito-borne disease. It is a life-threatening condition that affects a huge population each year and many people die for the disease as well. Malaria usually shows symptoms like fever, chills, vomiting, headache muscle pain and fatigue. Mosquito bites should be prevented to control the risk of malaria.

A person suffering from malaria should take care of the diet as well. According to a study, soups can help in fighting malaria effectively. To compete upon malaria, native soups might assist as researchers have observed that some of the soup ingredients have anti-malarial resources.

“Malaria destroys more than 400,000 people per year and taints more than 200 million, yet holding to our frontline medications remains to develop,” stated study lead researcher Jake Baum.

Several of the soup broths, collected from traditional family recipes that originated around the world, showed activity against the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum, either by curbing its growth or preventing it from maturing.

The soup ingredients had been carried down over the ages for the remedy of fever. Five of the stocks were able to control the growth of the parasite in its disease-causing stage by more than 50 percent. In two of these, the inhibitory activity was comparable with that of a leading anti-malarial drug, dihydroartemisinin.

Four other broths were more than 50 percent effective at blocking the ability of the parasites to mature to a form that infects mosquitoes, potentially blocking the process of transmission.

Filtered extracts of the broths were then tested against two stages of the parasite: when it can infect mosquitoes, and when it can cause the disease in humans. They were vegetarian, chicken or beef-based, with no special ingredient familiar to those with the most powerful anti-malarial action. The dynamic elements in the soups analyzed are yet to be classified and examined, the study said.

Realme to Launch Offline Centric Series in India Early Next Year: Madhav Sheth

0

Realme is set to launch a new offline-centric smartphone series in India early next year, India CEO Madhav Sheth revealed. The new Realme smartphone series will be initially available for purchase through offline retail stores in the country.

The Chinese company, which is often termed as an Oppo spin-off brand by the media, is also in plans to establish its exclusive offline stores to counter Xiaomi that has gained a strong presence in the Indian market with its range of offline stores. Realme is one of the top-five smartphone brands in India. But the company is in development to go beyond smartphones and bring a range of “tech lifestyle” products to the country.

“I would say, all our phones will be available online and offline,” said Madhav Seth in a conversation with a news agency at the sidelines of the Realme X2 Pro launch in New Delhi. “But this [the new smartphone series] would be specifically designed mainly for offline customers, and it will also be present online.”

When asked about the pricing, Sheth didn’t specify any particular segment.”We’ll be having all the price segments,” he mentioned.

Realme kicked off its journey in the offline retail market in India back in November 2018 by partnering with Reliance Digital and My Jio stores. In December, the company announced its plans to expand offline sales to 150 Indian cities this year. There are at present 7,000 offline stores that officially sell Realme devices in the country.

However, since Realme is planning to make the competition tougher for Xiaomi and take on mature companies including Samsung, it has does have plans to open its exclusive stores.
“Our exclusive store is not about having multiple hundreds of stores,” underlined Sheth.

“We’ll be having maybe just four or five stores in a year [or] 10 stores. This is for the customers’ experience for all the Realme products because Realme is not just a smartphone brand, it’s going to be a tech lifestyle brand.”

The exclusive stores by Realme, which were earlier planned to be established in the second quarter of this year, will be formally set up next year — sometime before the launch of the offline-focussed smartphone series, the executive told the news agency.

Analysts are optimistic about Realme’s growth in the offline market in India. Faisal Kawoosa, Founder and Chief Analyst, TechARC, said that Realme has the potential to disrupt the offline channel.

“Realme has been well received in the offline,” Kawoosa told the news agency. “Among the online-first smartphone brands, it has made impressive connect with the offline as well.”
Tarun Pathak, Associate Director at Hong Kong-based Counterpoint Research, on the other hand, highlighted that the offline expansion is critical for Realme as it entered the higher price tier with the Realme X2 Pro.

“Realme as a brand is now recognized for sturdiness and build quality of its devices,” Pathak told a news agency.

Pathak also noted that partnerships with key offline channel partners will be the key to success for Realme in its offline-focussed move.

Realme X2Pro Briefing:

Realme was up until now known for affordable smartphones. Nevertheless, the company is trying to change that image by bringing the Realme X2 Pro that starts at Rs. 29,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The smartphone goes up to Rs. 33,999 for the top-of-the-line configuration of 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.

The Realme X2 Pro price in India is also making it a solid competitor against the OnePlus 7 that has watered down specifications but at a similar pricing. However, Sheth explicitly said that despite being a part of China’s BBK Electronics that also owns brands such as OnePlus and Oppo, the company doesn’t see any internal pressure to preserve the market for OnePlus or Oppo.

“When we started Realme, people said it is similar to Oppo,” said Sheth. “Oppo has its strategy, we have our strategy. [Similarly,] OnePlus has its strategy, we have our strategy. I think India is a very big market. And I think all have their ways to explore and get their customers.”

Alongside expanding the existing range with the Realme X2 Pro and by planning the offline-centric series, Realme is all set to bring its first 5G smartphone to India next year. The company in September announced that it is building its 5G smartphone based on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 7-series SoC that was unveiled at IFA 2019 in Berlin.
Sheth suggested that the Realme 5G phone would be showcased at MWC 2020 in Barcelona, Spain. Soon after its showcasing, the new model could enter India, the executive asserted.

Realme is also bullish on bringing wearables and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Sheth said that the company would start bringing new devices under the tech lifestyle segment by as early as next month. He also teased Realme’s first truly wireless headphones during his on-stage presentation at the Realme X2 Pro launch. The headphones are likely to be inspired by the Apple AirPods and Samsung Galaxy Buds with a similar design.

According to a recent report by IDC, Realme emerged as the fourth smartphone maker in India in the third quarter of 2019. Its online share also reached an all-time high of 26.5 percent in the quarter, up from 16.5 percent in the previous quarter.

Naseem Shah in focus as Pakistan Take on Australia

0

It’s no surprise that Australia seems to be very taken by Naseem Shah. A local journalist even brought up his own 16-year-old son as a contrast to just why so enamored they are by the teenage Pakistani prodigy’s imminent Test debut at the Gabba on Thursday (November 21). Only 15 Australian men, after all, have played Test cricket before they turned 20 over the 152 years they’ve been playing the sport.

That’s what makes Pakistan an exciting team always though, this sense of unpredictability and capriciousness, which at times can come across as a suspension of disbelief. On most days, they say, it’s rather difficult to know what to expect from a Pakistani cricket team. But this is a Pakistani outfit which perhaps doesn’t quite know what to expect from themselves, which again could make them both vulnerable or dangerous, depending on how they rock up for the gig over the next five days.

Throwing a completely unknown kid, who in most other countries would still only be paddling with a float on in a cricketing sense, is only the coating on top of what is a Pakistan team in an experimental stage. They have a new captain, a new coach who is also chief selector, a new wicket-keeper and a slew of new faces probably even relatively new to those back home. They haven’t won a Test in Australia for 25 years and they have never won a Test series here. But still, if there’s one team you never rule out till you actually see them ruling themselves out in the middle, it’s Pakistan. And there’ll be hope about them creating history till the time there actually is no hope.

Azhar Ali and his side could potentially take some inspiration from India having ended the subcontinental hoodoo Down Under. But that was against an Australian team who’d been forced into an experimental phase, and much like Pakistan here had an overwhelming sense of “newness” to them. With Steve Smith and David Warner has returned since, it’s a more settled Australian team of course, but also one that has a more predictable tinge to it – even if the paint hasn’t dried yet on the middle-order either side of Smith.

With the Ashes urn now safely in their custody, Tim Paine & Co. will now set their eyes on regaining their hold over the citadel they’d surrendered to the Indians last year. It’ll also be Australia’s chance to welcome back their two refreshed superstars, Smith and Warner, in whites though with numbers on their backs. And it’s this clash of the unknowns against the well-knowns that promises to add a lot of intrigue to the opening game of a largely tepid home summer in Australia. That is till Pakistan doesn’t live up to that intrigue if they don’t.

On the 18th of November, Big Four auditing firm KPMG published its 2019 Fintech100 positions, which enters the prime 100 Fintech firms on the globe. The record marked a reduction in Bitcoin-related corporations but sustained reform in the payments enterprise.

As was the situation in 2018, AntFinancial — maintained by Jack Ma of Alibaba — led the positions. AntFinancial manages Alipay, one of China’s supervising payment methods, and is estimated at $83 billion.

Among the corporations that contribute discovery through blockchain and cryptocurrency, JD Finance was best arranged in third position, exceeded by Grab, an Uber-like rideshare application that also operates as payment methods in Singapore.

Robinhood collapsed from 8th spot in 2018 to 14th in 2019. Although, crypto modernization prevails steadfast according to KPMG’s positionings, which indicates blockchain-focused OneConnect (18th), Revolut (26th), Coinbase (34th), Liquid (38th) and Banketa (42th).

Reflecting on the power of Chinese corporations on the list, Chris Wang, partner and head of Fintech at KPMG China said:

“As the organization development proceeds to go strong in China, we are noticing some shifts in China’s Fintech aspect. Followed with trends we witness globally, we see a rising number of wealth, insurance and multi-sector organizations in China on the list, which symbolizes that technologies and discoveries have expanded into more financial services areas.”

The report also named Binance, MemaPay, Moin, Silot, and Tokeny among emerging companies in the top 100.
KPMG further points out that Fintech100 companies raised over $18 billion in the last 12 months and more than $70 billion in their lifetimes. The article recognizes these organizations as transforming the world with their particular variations, assisting over 2.5 billion consumers globally.

Although the organizations have emerged as a financial services, KPMG points out that many organizations on the Fintech100 list have benefited from open banking, enabling them to obtain customer banking to produce more personalized expertise and assistance. Early Fintech innovators with single product suggestions are now broadening to satisfy client requirements, often through banking licenses and backed by complimentary regulatory improvements.

AI Could Help Solve America’s At Hand Mental Health Crisis

0

Five years from now, the U.S.’ previously overburdened mental health method may be low as many as 15,600 psychiatrists as the increase in interest for their assistance outpaces stock, according to a 2017 article from the National Council for Behavioral Health. But some enthusiasts state that, by then, an unlikely instrument—AI—may be able to improve mental health practitioners decrease the influence of the shortage.

Medicine is already a productive region for ai; it has displayed the sign in diagnosing illness, understanding pictures and zeroing in on treatment methods. Though medicine is in several ways a uniquely human domain, needing emotional intelligence and thought that machines can’t reproduce, even here, experts state, AI(Artificial Intelligence) could have a result. The domain, they dispute, could avail from artificial intelligence’s capacity to examine data and pick up on patterns and information signs so complex humans might never remark them.

“Clinicians take very short time to cooperate with victims,” says Peter Foltz, an analysis professor at the University of Colorado Boulder who this month issued an article about AI’s commitment to psychiatry. “Victims manage to be isolated, it’s very difficult to get appointments and oftentimes people may be accompanied by a clinician [only] once every three months or six months.”

AI could be an adequate way for clinicians to both get the greatest of the moment they do have with victims, and bridge any hollows in passage, Foltz states. AI-aided data report could assist clinicians make determinations more promptly and precisely, noticing victims on the appropriate way of dealing more active—but perhaps more excitingly, Foltz says, apps or other applications that combine AI could enable clinicians to observe their victims remotely, informing them to problems or variations that occur between assignments and supporting them combine that experience into treatment methods. That data could be lifesaving, since the study has revealed that constantly monitoring in with victims who are harmful or in mental suffering can hold them safe.

Even then, Dr. John Torous, administrator of digital psychiatry at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, warns that “artificial intelligence is simply as powerful as the data it’s enlightened on,” and, he states, mental health diagnostics have not been quantified quite enough to add an algorithm. That may result in the future, with more and more comprehensive mental studies, but, Torous states “it’s persisting to be a difficult challenge.”

I felt it swings a lot more as compared to the red ball – Kohli on Pink Ball

0

For the first time on Wednesday evening – two days ahead of the historic Day-Night Test in Kolkata – the entire Indian squad trained with the pink ball. Eden Gardens has decked up and has even brought in a couple of mascots looking like the pink ball to mark the grand occasion, but as far as the game is concerned, there’s so much of an unknown for the Indian side.

To take their training as close to match simulation as possible, India set up a make-shift white sightscreen in front of their nets to see how easy or difficult it is for batsmen to spot the pink ball with such a backdrop. Each of the Indian batsmen who took turns in the nets appeared to be spotting the ball alright, as the batting session began just before twilight zone and stretched into a phase when the floodlights were in full force. Curator Sujan Mukherjee later confirmed to a news agency that a white sightscreen will indeed be in play during the Test.

“From my experience, I can say that the ball is hard to pick during the twilight time. There is a black backdrop for the white ball so we have to see how different a white backdrop is going to be,” India’s wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha said, highlighting the issue that he – and Liton Das – could face over the next few days. “With the white ball, there’s still the feeling that this is a white ball even when it is old. I am not sure how different it is going to be with the pink ball,” Saha added.

Incidentally, Bangladesh’s spin bowling consultant Daniel Vettori also spoke of the uncertainty and the difficulty around how the fielders behind the stumps, who are expected to come into play a lot more, will adapt.

“Visibility [during the twilight period] is fine. I think the only anecdotal conversations I have heard is that it [the pink ball] has been a little bit hard to pick at square leg and those areas. I haven’t experienced them myself, that’s what I have heard. That will be interesting to find out if the slips are picking it, gully, the umpires. They say there is a small halo effect that the ball has,” Vettori said.

The excitement about the historic fixture had begun even before the start of the Indore Test, so much so that a few of the Indian batsmen alternated between the red and the pink ball during throwdowns. There was even an optional nets session after the early conclusion of the first Test there, which many of the regulars skipped. The reality, though, is that the Indian team has trained for a very brief period with the pink ball to be able to accurately predict its possible behavior in the second Test.

From what he’d faced in those throwdowns, Virat Kohli reckoned it could swing for a longer period, but was unaware of how the old ball would behave. It is also unclear what could happen to the color of the ball once the shine is off.

“I observed that it swings a much more as correlated to the red ball because there’s more cover on the ball which doesn’t go beyond too fast. And the seam operates correct quite a margin. I think if the pitch has extra help for the bowlers then the bowlers will be in the game, especially fast bowlers throughout the Test match. I don’t know how the old ball performs because, amidst the dew and the extra cover dying off, it will be intriguing to see how much the old ball does,” Kohli had said.

Saha echoed Kohli’s thoughts and felt reverse swing could be out of the window. While that’s not great news for Shami, one of the finest exponents of reverse swing bowling in the game currently – as demonstrated in Indore – he’d be raring to have a new-ball burst should Kohli’s opinions on-seam position be true. He is, after all, the pacer who presents the best seam position in world cricket according to India’s bowling coach Bharat Arun.

Considering the form that Shami showed in the recent series against South Africa, and coolly carried it over to the first Test against Bangladesh, Saha feels the change of ball won’t affect his impact.

“The ball is not the factor for Shami and even the others. He has been consistent, and deadly with his reverse swing. We still need to see what happens in the match but given his form, the ball doesn’t matter.”

The general feeling among the players, at least until the session on Wednesday, has been a mix of excitement and wariness. That combined with the fact that the conditions and the ball will be as alien to Bangladesh as they are to India has only piqued the curiosity regarding what could transpire at the Eden Gardens from Friday.
