A recent survey by a team of global researchers expressed that electric cars are much cheaper than diesel or petrol cars. The team has analyzed various aspects of the purchase price, taxes, insurance, depreciation, fuel, and maintenance to come out with the results.

‘We were shocked to find that electric cars emerged out as winners. Though the current price of electric cars is on the premium end, it is likely to come down in the next four years. The low cost will be the key factor driving the sale of the electric cars. The people might be able to afford electric cars even without subsidies from the government by 2022,’ said a researcher from the group.

The Navpada Masjid trust members have approached the Mumbai Police in Bandra alleging that a group of squatters is carrying out illegal activates like prostitution, selling drugs and liquor in the graveyard premises.

According to the reports, the Brihanmumbai Corporation Limited (BMC) has carried out a demolition drive after the trustees and local public complained that a portion of Kabrastan (graveyard) was under encroachment by a group of more asquat.Three families are reportedly living in 6 rooms in the encroached area.

Within a few days after the demolition drive was carried out, the squatter again encroached the portion of the graveyard building. They built a small door and window into the graveyard wall that opens up in the adjacent G7 Multiplex. The G7 Multiplex authorities have also filed a complaint in this context.

According to the Trust members, ‘the government has given a small shelter for the caretaker of the graveyard 3 decades ago. The next generation of the caretaker started encroaching the land and are carrying out illegal activities from the premises. We have informed the police multiple times. But no strict action has been taken against them.’

After a brief silence of 2 months, North Korea tested its latest missile in the Hwasong series. Dubbed as Hwasong-15, the latest missile is the most advanced in its series. A spokesman for South Korea Military’s joint staff said, ‘we believe it is a new type of missile. The North Korea is advancing faster than we previously believed.’

Private analysts across the globe expressed that the latest missile, Hwasong-15 is much powerful, and looked bigger than Hwasong-14. ‘The rounder nose seen in the pictures released by North Korea showed a similarity between the Russian missile. These rounder-nose missiles usually carry multiple warheads,’ said a defense analyst.

‘The North Korean researchers have bundled the engines of Hwasong-14 to give the Hwasong-15 the true range of ICBM. Its thicker second stage might have also been equipped with more fuel or thrusters to take it to a farther distance,’ said missile expert, Chang Young-Keun at Korea Aerospace University, Seoul.

North Korea’s Kim Jong-un might declare the Hwasong-15 to be ‘combat ready’ after carrying out 3 or 4 more tests in the coming few months. He claimed that North Korea is capable of attacking any US city from anywhere in North Korea.

Power tariff was increased last year and stayed unchanged in 2017 as well. It looks very bleak that the state government will permit any hike in the power tariffs for the second consecutive year. The power distribution companies will be submitting tariff plans to the TS State Regulatory Commission by the middle of December, suggests existing tariffs to be sustained for the years 2018-19. Initially, there was an indication that a raise is likely.

The officials met Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to discuss the tariff plan. They brought to his notice that there will be a lot of demand for power from 2018 due to the 24-hour free power to agriculture program that was announced from January 1st, across the state of Telangana. Mission Bhagiratha will pump water for the rivers Krishna and Godavari and major lift to irrigation ventures like Kaleshwaram, Palamur – Ranga Reddy. Hence citing these issues, they argued it is very important to have a minor hike in Power tariff.

While the CM was averse to the idea of any hike owing to impending elections in 2019, and also he was against any hike to commercial and industrial sectors, leaving out domestic consumers, as he believes there is a stiff competition to attract industrial investments by only offering lower power tariff. CM also pointed that power costs around Rs 2 to Rs 3 per unit as against the earlier ones Rs 10 to Rs 15 per unit.

This is not a hilarious joke, but a true happening today at Himachal Pradesh. A bus passenger was arrested over smelly socks after other passengers got into an argument over the socks. The bus driver was forced to stop near a police station as things went out of control. But the man alleges that his socks did not stink.

It is funny, as I read the story myself, but the fact remains that people do end up behind bars for the most unexpected reasons but sometimes people do land in jail for the strangest complaints.

Recently, police in India are under scrutiny over law and order. Incidents like donkeys being kept behind bars for ruining plants among many have come across to our learning as the most mysterious.

Now a man in Himachal Pradesh was arrested as people were irritated over his smelly socks. Prakash Kumar, 27 was arrested from a bus on his way to Delhi when fellow passengers forced the bus to stop at a police station and shockingly lodged a complaint against the man.

They filed a complaint against him as a case of creating a nuisance. They complained that his socks smelled so bad that other passengers asked him to throw them out. But the man refused to shove, leading to a heated argument. While Prakash Kumar, brushed off saying the passengers made a mole out mount hill, and there was no reason to fight.

The film ‘Jawaan’ starring Sai Dharam Tej and directed by BVS Ravi recently released in theatres. There were no expectations on the film largely because of the director and hero Sai Dharam Tej, who had 3 flops in a row. The film managed to create hype after it was learnt that Dil Raju and Koratala Siva are involved in the film. People expected that it would be a decent film.

Dil Raju involved himself in the shooting and also advised the director to re-shoot few important scenes. Meanwhile, it was learnt that Koratala Siva gave some valuable suggestions in key scenes of the film. The film received mixed reviews on release.

Many felt that even though the story was good, the director failed to narrate it efficiently. Interestingly, Mehreen Pirzada who is currently the ‘Lucky charm and golden leg’ in Tollywood was only limited to songs and the romantic scenes stole the show. The romantic track between Mehreen and Sai Dharam became crowd pullers, especially in the B and C centers.

The members of the family and relatives made protests at the “Max Hospital” on Friday, demanding severe action against the carelessness of the hospital. The baby was handed over to the parents in a plastic bag was found to be alive just minutes before he was to be buried.

According to reports, the hospital informed the parents about one baby being born still, while the other one is critical and needs months of treatment in the nursery. While the parents already paid the installment amount and were apparently discussing all options for keeping the baby on ventilator support, when suddenly the parents were told the second baby also died.

They are already in touch with the parents of the baby and are providing all the needed support, the statement said. 

A case has been registered under section 308 of IPC which leads cases relating to attempt to commit culpable homicide and can lead to 7 years’ imprisonment. While the Delhi government ordered an investigation into the criminal negligence with Kejriwal promising stern action.

There were reports in the past as well about cases of medical negligence leaving people in pain. Any abortion that goes wrong can be dismaying.

The lady has been suffering from piercing abdominal pain for the past 15 years, post her abortion. She was noticed to have been vomiting continuously for the last three years. She visited a specialist who was shaken to find the apparently aborted child stuck in her abdomen.

The specialist performed a surgery to remove a fully grown stone baby after a two-hour surgery. An intestinal obstruction in her food pipe and a stone-like object blocking it showed scan reports. Laparoscopy revealed a four-month-old dead baby in the abdomen.

Such cases are very rare as there have been only 300 such reports across the world in four centuries.

Japanese automaker Nissan Motor has begun international mediation against India to seek more than $770 million in a dispute over outstanding state incentives, according to reports.

It was reported last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sent a legal notice over the matter. Nissan sought payment of incentives pending from the Tamil Nadu government as part of a 2008 deal to set up a car manufacturing plant in the southern state.

In the notice, it says repeated requests to state officials for payment and even company chairman Carlos Ghosn making a plea to Modi were overlooked and did not yield any result.

A Nissan spokesman said, the company tried their best to resolve the matter as they were committed to working with the government, but nothing elaborate out of it.

Meanwhile, a senior Tamil Nadu state official, confirms of no discrepancy in regard to the amount due and they are trying very hard to resolve the matter. He also said the government hoped to solve the issue without having to go to international arbitration.

Sai Dharam Tej starrer ‘Jawaan’ movie also came up with a unique way to promote the film. recently, Sai Dharam Tej visited Facebook Workplace and participate in a live chat with his fans on Facebook. The chat received a very good response from Facebook users.

The hero was also available for a WhatsApp chat to his fans. Once again the ‘Jawaan’ team came up with another unique idea. Sai Dharam Tej and the film’s director BVS Ravi have been interview by director Harish Shankar. The interview took place the Beenz Café, located in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The film’s heroine, Mehreen Pirzada was also seen in the interview.

Harish Shankar: Did you listen to the story after deciding to work with Ravi? Or you wanted to work after listening to the story?

Dharam Tej: Frankly, Ravi shared the story with me while I was shooting for ‘Supreme’ film in this very coffee shop. After listening to the script, I felt ‘God! Did he really write the film by himself? Or he copied it from somewhere? I told him, I would make the film. But I was busy shooting for other films at that time. So, we completed the film after a year and a half! 

 Ravi: I shared the story with Ravi Teja First!

‘I initially approached Ravi Teja with the script. After listening to the story, he suggested me that Sai Dharam Tej would be the apt one for this script. Ravi Anna stated that he likes Sai Dharam Tej and Nani in this generation of heroes,’ said BVS Ravi.

Harish: As a director, what would you like to tell Mega fans?

Ravi: Mega heroes venturing into the films do remake the songs of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan. I wanted ‘songs’ to be a plus point in ‘Jawaan’. And moreover, after ‘Supreme’ Sai Dharam Tej wasn’t seen in any dance numbers. I ensured that Sai Dharam Tej displays his dance moves in every song in this film.

Harish: What is your favourite song in the film?

Ravi: Avunana… KaadhanaaSai Dharam Tej Jawaan Team Chit-Chat

Dharam Tej: I really liked ‘Jawaan’ theme song.

Harish: What is your take on the Villain role played by Prasanna?

Dharam Tej: The villain role played by Prasanna was really impressive. He is a very good person. He is a senior too. I was confused while shooting for few scenes. At that time Prasanna gave me few pieces of advice which helped me a lot. To be very frank, I improved my acting ability after following his advice.

Harish: Did you rope in Mehreen because of her recent films have been consecutive hits?

Ravi: I really liked Mehreen. She is very friendly. She is the golden girl of Tollywood. That’s the reason I had cast her in the film.

Harish: What made you sign on this film?

Mehreen: Director narrated the story trusting me. I agreed immediately. I don’t even know what the film is about (laughs).

Harish: How did you feel working with Sai Dharam Tej?

Mehreen: I really have no clue about dancing. Just by watching Dharam Tej, I picked up a couple of movements. I really have a tough time for the dance master during the songs.

‘Jawaan’ released today, i.e., 1st December 2017. The film received good to mixed reviews. While the acting of Sai Dharam Tej was applauded, the director was appreciated for few scenes in the film. The film stars Sai Dharam Tej as hero ‘Jai’ and Prasanna as villain ‘Keshav’. Both of them are brothers in the film. Mehreen Pirzada impressed the audience with her glamour, especially in the songs. The film features action and family drama.

The BCCI – Board of Cricket Control in India has agreed to Kohli and Dhoni’s demand of ‘Rise of pay’ for the players. The board has officially issued a press note confirming the rise in pay and the revised pay scale of the players.

BCCI has divided the annual pay scale into three categories: Grade A, Grade B, and Grade C. According to the revised annual pay scale, the players in Grade A will receive Rs 2 Crores while the players in Grade B will receive Rs 1 Crore. The players in Grade C will receive 50 Lakhs as their annual pay.

Grade A comprises of star players like Kohli, Dhoni, Ashwin, Rahane, Pujara, Jadeja and Vijay.Grade B comprises Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Saha, Umesh, and others. Grade C comprises Pandya, Karun Nair, Jadav, Axar Patel, Mishra, and others.

Accordingly, the BCCI also announced the revised fees for playing an international match. The players in the final eleven will receive an amount of Rs 15 Lakhs for a test match, Rs 6 Lakhs for an ODI and Rs 3 Lakhs for a T20I as match fees.

The Indian cricket team will leave to South Africa on 27th of December, two weeks before the first international match.

The Tamil Nadu state politics became a nation-wide topic after the death of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa. The political crisis that took place at that time gave rise to other individuals who already had a mass-fan following in the public.

Among them are superstars, Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan. Rajinikanth’s brother has recently confirmed that the hero would launch his political party in January 2018, while Kamal Hassan said that working is going on in building his new party.

RK Nagar constituency assembly seat was vacant after the death of Jayalalithaa. The Election Commission cancelled the interim elections for the RK Nagar assembly seat after it found political leaders trying to bribe the voters with money.

The latest buzz in the Tamil Nadu political sphere is that hero Vishal is trying to contest for the RK Nagar constituency seat. Along with the ruling AIDMK party, DMK and BJP parties are also striving hard to win the RK Nagar seat and build a strong ‘emotional wave’. Vishal willing filing his nomination papers as an Independent contestant.

Hero Vishal is yet to respond these rumours. No official news about him contesting for RK Nagar assembly seat has been heard.

After Water Resources Ministry Secretary Dr. Amarjit Singh wrote to Dinesh Kumar, Chief Secretary to Government of Andhra Pradesh, asking the Andhra Pradesh state government to call out fresh tenders nulling the current ones, the AP State Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu lashed out at Narendra Modi and BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.

Chandrababu held BJP led NDA government responsible for the slow release of the financial package, announced by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to Andhra Pradesh.

‘We joined the alliance with BJP in 2014 with a hope that it would do something good for the state and Polavaram Project in particular. The state suffered badly after the unscientific bifurcation process was carried out in the combined state of Andhra Pradesh,’ said the AP CM.

Chandrababu Naidu also stated that the only reason to agree for ‘Special Package’ despite facing several problems and backlash from the opposition party in the state is for the benefit of the Telugu people. ‘We maintained utmost composure and restraint despite facing several problems because we are part of the NDA alliance. But the Centre itself is causing many hurdles to the state,’ said Chandra Babu.

Polavaram Project is considered as the ‘lifeline’ of Andhra Pradesh in the future. The project is reported to cost Rs 54,000 crores.
