Yesterday the Swedish Furniture giant IKEA has opened its first ever mega store in India at the city of Hyderabad. Let us have a quick look at the store’s merits and demerits on the first day.The other day, the Telangana IT and Urban Development Minister KTR inaugurated the IKEA Furniture showroom at Hyderabad. Later the visitors and customers rushed in to see whats new in store. Like all the mega marts, IKEA despite its grandeur in product value has had its own advantages and disadvantages.

Having a Furniture store where all range of International products readily available is certainly an added advantage like Wallmart store. So the visitors on the day one galloped into different sections of the store. Keeping the Indian market economy and middle class in mind, the IKEA managers have perfectly designed mid range to high range products at better prices compared to other companies and it attracted the customers. Also making the designer products available for cheaper rates is adding more buzz to the store. Trade analysts say that the store would get profits if they maintain these standards.

On the flip side, the Store completely failed to have a perfect parking system to the customers. They provided the parking lot a mile farther from the store and from there, the customers are transported to the store via their own buses. This brought in a huge chaos and the visitors are not feeling good about this. Also the fact that the products were selected by the customers have no place to keep until they buy and pack them too ended up as a huge problem. The management is jotting down all these problems to rectify them in the upcoming days to increase their sales.
